Happy Halloween from my dark heart,  to yours! Tis the season of Samhain and no spooky season will be complete without an esoteric discussion of ghosts, local ghosts to be exact!  Today in the Crypt, The Cryptkeeper welcomes Ms.Maureen and her decades of experience teaching at Ottawa's Gothic paranormal premier educational institute, Lisgar Collegiate.  Deaths from all ages happened in Lisgar's hallowed halls and the hauntings have spilled over into the neighboring buildings.  Ottawa's Ghosts are alive and well....so to speak...So, loyal listeners in the Crypt, before you go trick or treating, take a moment to listen to Ms.Maureen and educate yourself on Ottawa's paranormal past.  Class is in session, today's topic: The Ghosts of Lisgar Collegiate.

Ottawa is a haunted city with many an old landmark.  Most famous of them is the Chateau Laurier.  Dignitaries, politicians, actors and many other "upper crust" society members have stayed there, lo these hundred years of the Chateau's existence.  If you decide to stay there, they may have room available but rest assured that The Chateau is constantly packed.....with GHOSTS! Cults, Cults, Cults!  Who knew that just down the road from the Ottawa Crypt existed a Cult so formidable that it spanned Canada and crossed the Atlantic Ocean into Europe.  The Order of the Solar Temple (O.S.T) had pomp & circumstance, two charismatic leaders, esoteric Sun-God beliefs, murder/suicide and of course.....a promise of eternal life in the Star Sirius Galaxy! You know, typical life in Montreal! Just outside of Ottawa, in a sleepy spot called Palmer Rapids, back in 1948...the Cryptkeeper hypothesizes that Beelzebub  himself had a stranglehold on the Goglin family and tricked them into their demise.  Fanatical, ex-communicated and spiritual are words that could describe the Goglin family but what happened to them became a possession of diabolical proportions.  Follow the Cryptkeeper down the Madawaska river where not only the water is dark but what occurred that fateful day is even darker. For fear of drowning stemming from a decision not made by yourself is not your salvation but your demise. Put on your life jacket, you're gonna need it while you hear about the strange death of Violet Goglin.

The small town of Wilno, Ontario is harboring a dark secret....only the Wilno residents know the truth....Well...the Wilno residents & the Cryptkeeper!
