German scientists began working on nuclear weapons in 1939. There are reports of a nuclear weapon being used at the Battle of Kursk in 1942. Highway 16 is a small part of the Trans Canada Yellowhead Highway. The first report of a young woman being murdered was reported in 1969. Since then as many as 44 others have been killed or gone missing. For so many unexplained occurrences to take place in such a small area is a true mystery.
