STRANGE WAVES: The Strange Ways Comics & More Podcast

We celebrated the release of Strange Ways FIRST EVER Store Exclusive Variant! Oni Press released a NEW start for everyone's FAVORITE Teenage Witch SABRINA and we couldn't pass up the chance to get involved with a cover! As a part of our midnight release event, Ben sat down with cover artist (also the artist of so many things Strange Ways and the artist that brought Strange Dave to life) Alex Brinegar. We talk Alex's history with art, comics, and music and then tackle some listener questions! Alex is not only a trusted and loyal friend but an amazingly talented artist and knowing him is a blessing in our lives! If you missed out on our midnight release party for Sabrina you can grab a copy in store or online for shipping or pickup HERE!

Max Hillebrand and I go a long long ways back. If you've ever heard us ramble together in the store or read through one of the many insane conversations we've had on the SW Discord and left confused... hopefully this clears it up. It has truly been a massive joy to have Max so involved with the store, he's one of the people that makes this feel like family!

We take a little field trip this week and head directly next door to talk with our new good buddy Brian Barbour, co-owner of Unfettered Books. Getting to know Brian and Lisa from Unfettered has been a highlight of my year and the joy and activity they've brought to our section of Downtown Greensboro cannot go unappreciated! Check them out next time you're out the store if you haven't already!

Final Order Cutoff is the last chance for comic retailers to place orders for upcoming titles. These short form episodes will talk about key titles that are hitting the following Monday's F.O.C. The sooner you let us know what titles you want the more secure your preorder is!

Thomas and Zoe have been incredible supporters of Strange Ways since day one and have both gone above and beyond to assist with store events and even just the day-to-day slog. It's been an honor getting to know them both better, and it was great to sit down with Thomas to learn about his comics journey! We're stoked to have listener questions back! Thomas sat down with me while Zoe was next door hanging out with our friends at Unfettered Books for their weekly Stitch and Bitch cross-stitching and knitting circle. It happens every Friday evening if you or someone you know are interested in such! We hope to soon upgrade our podcasting equipment to keep all that background noise from taking over the recording and allow you to hear Ben and each week's guest more clearly!

We're back! It's been a rollercoaster few months and we appreciate your patience! The Strange Waves Podcast will be back WEEKLY moving forward! Ben sits down with (you know him, and you love him) Strange Ways' FIRST employee, Sage Snead. Sage has been instrumental to the highs we've experienced over the past few months and someone we consider to be a Comics Success Story. Come meet Sage on Mondays and (to be announced very soon) at some big events we have coming up!
