So long, farewell to our dear viewers and listeners. It has been an honour and pleasure for us to host 6 episodes and 8 minis of Strangers By Nature. In this last episode, we recap our fav memories, highlights and share our biggest learning moments and struggles. Setting up this podcast wasn’t the easiest thing for us and we weren’t always excited but we are proud of what we created, the relationships we formed and the questions we got to ask. We are hopeful that our passion for inclusion and excellent work within and beyond the Warwick student body will be continued and improved upon by two new hosts who are crafting a brand new podcast. Eurocentrism has always been a point of discussion in Theatre Studies courses in UK universities. In this episode, Amelia and Talya sit down with Getrude, the 2022 African Women Playwrights Network artist in residence at the University of Warwick. This is our insightful conversation about the importance of studying African theatre, theatre in Zimbabwe, creating new work, and paving the way to your future.

Casting has always been a complex issue. Coming from four completely different backgrounds, Amelia, Talya, Emily, and Fikayo knew a conversation about representation in the uni theatre scene and industry at large would be challenging.
