One of my favorite dialogues from The Ur-Quan Masters (Star Control 2).

The Ur-Quan Masters is a free and open source game previously released commercially in 1992. The voice acting was recorded for the Panasonic 3DO version, released in 1994. It's a space opera, a bit like Star Trek, in which the player meets and attempts to ally with various alien races, fighting back against the Ur-Quan 20 years after losing a war against them.

The source code for the 3DO version of the game was released in 2002 under the GPL.
