In this episode of Streaming Wars, Geralt of Rivia is back in Netflix’s epic fantasy horror drama and better than ever with a more stripped-down pace and scope.

The one downside? The best character of the show, Yennefer, takes a bit of a backseat. But it’s still one of the best fantasy shows out there.

Delightfully slick and darkly comic, this boardroom version of Game Of Thrones hits all the right notes of HBO high-brow goodness and guilty pleasure at the same time.

A powerful, all-Black cast, featuring Idris Elba and Regina King is one reason to watch Netflix’s The Harder They Fall, a new, modern take on the spaghetti western.

But, despite its glorious performances and stunning visuals, there’s not much else to sick your teeth into in this otherwise hollow Tarantino-esque revenge romp.

Red Notice … *sigh* Well, it’s not great, according to Streaming Wars host Colin Chisholm.

Despite the veneer of a high budget action-adventure movie, there’s not much to like with this Netflix original. Jokes that fall flat, a mishmash of jarring scene changes and perhaps its greatest sin, just being really boring, Red Notice misses the mark in many ways.

Streaming Wars hosting Colin Chisholm has been trying out the latest streaming service to launch in Canada, Discovery+, and so far, let’s just say it’s not his cup of tea.

With a heavy focus on reality programming of questionable quality, the service leaves a lot to be desired — unless you’re really into home reno shows.

But of course, there’s a lot on Discovery+ and maybe he missed something worth checking out.
