Criticism doesn't begin with bad intentions. Most of the time, it begins with unmet needs, disappointment, or frustration. But when concerns become character attacks, relationships begin to carry emotional bruises that are much harder to heal than the original problem.
One of the greatest challenges in human relationships is that people don't always hear what is said. The antidote to defensiveness is taking responsibility, even if it is only for a part of the problem.
Loneliness isn't the absence of people, but the absence of meaningful connection. Sometimes, due to past hurts, disappointments, rejections and among others, we decide to build walls to protect ourselves, but those walls end up being the very prisons that keep us lonely and prevent growth.
Sometimes it's not your schedule that's exhausting you. It's everything you're carrying inside your head while trying to keep your schedule together.
Everyone feels, not just always in the same way or at the same time. Feelings do not always follow a schedule. Sometimes they arrive late. Sometimes they leave and return. Sometimes they come in pairs that seem to contradict each other. But emotions are not enemies; they are signals. They tell us that something matters.
Every emotion carries a message (data); it’s up to you to decode it and decide on what to do with it. Emotions aren’t enemies; they are notifications that remind us that something needs our attention, something needs healing, or something needs to change.
Without emotions, life becomes information without meaning. Every emotion has a purpose. The challenge is not eliminating emotions. The challenge is understanding them. Because when we understand our emotions, we understand ourselves better.
Many people spend days, weeks, and even years influenced by emotional states they never stop ruminating on. The next time you're feeling off, pause and ask yourself: What exactly am I feeling?
Many people think growth is a knowledge or resource problem. Often, it's an emotional problem with a cover-up.
Your feelings may be true, but they are not always accurate. This is because your brain doesn’t just seek to understand reality; it creates your emotional response based on your previous experiences. Don’t permit what you feel to always be the conclusion of a reality.
