This open-air message was preached on the campus of Georgia Tech University in Atlanta on February 25, 2013. This stop was part of a larger preaching circuit of 15 college campuses across 5 southern states. Many heard the Word of God this particular day, including Muslims from Iran, Saudi Arabia, and Southern China. An Iranian Muslim conversed with us for a while following this preaching. He requested a Bible, and one was shipped to him.

Good afternoon students. My name is Jesse, and I'm from just up the road in North Carolina. We are standing here today in this free speech zone, and I know it's kind of far from everyone, and perhaps you cannot hear me. Nevertheless, I'd like to take a moment and share a message with you this day, a message from God’s Word, the Holy Bible. I'm not here to yell and scream. I’m not here to act like a clown. I’m not dressed in gaudy clothing with a whole bunch of banners and signs. I'm simply standing here with my Bible in my hand, and I'm hoping that as you pass by, you will hear some seed of truth from this Bible.

You see, the Bible is not just some manmade book. It's not like your science textbook. The Bible is the revelation of God, a special revelation of God, the Creator of heaven and earth. God Himself wrote it through men moved by the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures say:

“For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost” (II Peter 1:21).

I want to read a passage to you from the fourth chapter of Hebrews in the New Testament. It is a claim made by the Word of God concerning the Word of God, a claim that no other religious book claims for itself. Some manmade religious books assert to be from God or gods, but they are full of contradictions and full of prophecies that never came true. But, the Bible makes a claim about itself right here in Hebrews 4:12-13, a claim that I dare say it goes on to back up:

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful …”

My friends, that means living and powerful. It’s a LIVING word.

“… and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

My friends, God's word can discern your thoughts and your intentions. God's law speaks to your thoughts and your intentions. Our Creator doesn't just look upon the outside, He judges the thoughts and the intents of the heart. Where do you stand before Him when your deepest, darkest secrets are revealed? Elsewhere, the Bible says,

“Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man” (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

Why?

Because “God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil” (Ecclesiastes 12:14).

It goes on to say here in Hebrews 12:13:

“Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.”

The Bible is described in this passage as a person. It is referred to with the personal pronoun. Indeed, it is more than just a book. Now, I know many of you would mock the Scriptures and say they are just “written by men” and contradict themselves and contradict “science.” These things simply aren't true. There are no contradictions or errors in the Scriptures.

There may be something apparent when it is ripped out of its context, but when you dive into the text and read it, interpreting it in its proper context, Scripture with Scripture, everything is progressively unfolded—one progressive theme, one truth without contradiction and without compromise. Real observable science is not in conflict with the Bible. In fact, the Holy Word of God made scientific statements long before man-made science “discovered” scientific truth. For example, the Old Testament speaks of the benefits of running water to protect from disease long before our European forefathers in the Middle Ages “discovered” that disease was spread through the use of stale and standing water in times of war and sickness.

The Bible is one book, my friends. It's not just a collection of random writings. It's not just a study in randomness, as can be said of the Quran and some of these other writings that say one thing on one page and then completely contradict themselves on another. God's Word, the Bible, is one book; and it bears distinct marks which attest to this unity.

From its very beginning, the Bible gives testimony to ONE GOD, not many gods, not one God in the Old Testament, not another in the New Testament. It testifies of ONE God, not a demigod, but one God, the Maker of heaven and earth, the Creator of all things.  It is He of whom it is written, “In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth” (Genesis 1:1). It is He of whom it is written at the end: “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last” (Revelation 22:13).

Whenever God speaks or acts in His Word, He is the same and always consistent with Himself.

Whatever God speaks or acts in His Word, my friends, He is consistent with Himself and with all revelation concerning Him. He is not distant, unknowable, and inconsistent like Allah of the Quran who cannot be known, who says one thing in one sura and then changes His mind and says something else in another sura.

The Bible not only gives testimony of ONE GOD, it forms ONE CONTINUOUS STORY, not a collection of random myths and tales, but one continuous narrative: the story of humanity in relation to its Maker, the history of humanity in relation to God. Every page of the Scriptures speaks to this story in one form or another.

Another mark of the Bible's unity and its supernatural quality is that it HAZARDS the most unlikely predictions concerning the future, and when centuries have brought about the appointed time, it records their fulfillment. My friends, the Bible is full of detailed and very specific prophecies, ordered at the mouths of God's prophets by the Holy Spirit, hundreds, sometimes thousands of years before such unlikely events occur. Then, as the time goes by and God gives revelation, additional revelation down through the centuries, the Bible records the fulfillment of these unlikely predictions in such a way that there could have been no coincidence or man-made collusion.

In the Book of Isaiah, the prophet comes to Hezekiah, the King of Judah, who had been boasting of his wealth and his treasures to visiting ambassadors from Babylon. This was in the days of the mighty empire of Assyria and long before Babylon was anything more than a vassal province. Isaiah says to the King:

“Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store unto this day, shall be carried into Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the LORD. And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon” (II Kings 20:17-18).

At the time, Babylon had no power or influence to effect such a thing, and there was no indication whatsoever that she ever could. Yet, it happened 150 years later. Just as it was predicted, so it was fulfilled.

People's names in the Scriptures, my friends, are recorded long before their birth. The Bible makes an unlikely prophecy, also in the Book of Isaiah, concerning Cyrus the Persian who would give the Jews permission to return to their homeland and rebuild their temple. His name is revealed 200 years before his birth (Isaiah 44:28), even before Babylon was a mighty kingdom, the mighty kingdom that the Persians would overthrow in 538 BC.

Forty-eight details are prophesied about Jesus the Messiah in the Old Testament long before His birth, specific details that seemed quite unlikely, so unlikely that when they were fulfilled, the people of Jesus' day who knew the Scriptures just couldn't believe them. It was written in the Prophet Micah about 700 years before Christ that the Messiah would be born in Bethlehem, an obscure village on the outskirts of Jerusalem. From Bethlehem would come this Messiah, this anointed One of Israel (Micah 5:2). Jesus was born in Bethlehem, my friends. The star gave testimony over the place of His birth. The angels appeared and gave glory in the presence of the nearby shepherds. All was fulfilled exactly as it was written centuries before.

In the Prophet Zechariah, about half a century before the birth of Christ, Messiah is spoken of as One who would be valued by His countrymen for only thirty pieces of silver. And so it happened. Judas Iscariot, one of Jesus’ original twelve disciples, betrayed the Son of Man to the religious leaders in Jerusalem for thirty pieces of silver (Matthew 26:15), just as it was written, the specific and unlikely details.

In the 22nd Psalm, it is written of Messiah that He would be pierced in His hands and His feet. David the sweet Psalmist of Israel wrote such a thing a millennia before Christ was born and 250 years before the Romans even invented crucifixion as a form of punishment for the common criminal.

So my friends, detailed prophecy time and time and time again recorded in the Scriptures and subsequently fulfilled in history is a mighty testimony to the supernatural origin of the Bible. Again, it was written of Christ that He would be born of a virgin, more than 700 years before His birth:

“Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel” (Isaiah 7:14).

Jesus was born of a virgin. The Angel Gabriel came to the virgin Mary in the village of Nazareth, and he told her that she was highly favored among women and would give birth to the Son of God, just as it had been recorded.

Not only is the Bible ONE BOOK, my friends, it bears witness to ONE GOD. It forms ONE CONTINUOUS STORY. It HAZARDS the most unlikely predictions concerning the future. And then, when history brings about the appointed time, the Bible records the fulfillment of it’s own prophecy.

The Bible is also a progressive UNFOLDING of truth. Nothing is revealed all at once. It’s much like the crops of the field: first the blade, then the ear, and then the corn. Without even the remote possibility of collusion, and often with centuries in between, one writer of the Scriptures will take up an earlier revelation, add to it, lay down the pen, and in due time, another man moved by the Holy Spirit, and another, and another adds details until the whole is complete, a progressive unfolding of truth that does not contradict itself. It’s special revelation as God intended men to have it when He intended men to have it; and this tapestry forms one complete whole from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21.

From beginning to end, my friends, the Bible gives testimony of ONE REDEMPTION, the redemption of sinful man by a holy and righteous God. ’Tis a redemption first prophesied in the Garden of Eden, in the very beginning, and then brought to fulfillment in eternity with the rule and reign of Jesus Christ, the Anointed Messiah.

From beginning to end, and quite unlike the religious writings of man, the Bible has ONE GREAT THEME: the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, the person and work of God’s Messiah. You see, even in the book of Genesis, Jesus Christ would be the One to come and crush the head of the serpent. In the Book of Exodus, Jesus Christ is like that Passover lamb who covers the sins of those that believe. The Law of God, the Torah, points to Messiah, the embodiment of all that is true and holy and the Law’s ultimate fulfillment. Jesus Christ makes His appearance throughout the Old Testament as prophecies are uttered and miracles are done, pointing to the birth of Messiah. He is born; He lives a perfect life; He performs miracles to prove His identity as the Son of God; and then, He raises up from the dead, something no prophet or no author of manmade religion has ever been able to do. Messiah builds up His Church. He empowers them to take the Gospel throughout the world. And then, He comes again to set up His kingdom, a literal physical kingdom to rule and reign in righteousness and to put down all wickedness and sin from beginning to end. My friends, this is the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ the Messiah—one great theme unfolded throughout the entire Bible.

A true unanswerable proof concerning the divine inspiration of the Bible is that its human writers, around forty-four in number and writing across 20 centuries, separated by great distance and time … some of them lowly shepherds, some of them mighty kings, some priests in God's temple, some of them farmers, some fruit pickers, some of them just a bunch of cussing sailors, and yet all inspired by the Holy Spirit … have produced a perfect harmony of doctrine in progressive unfolding, something that cannot be said for a single other religious writing of man.

This cannot be said for the writings of Buddha. There are so many claimed writings of Buddha, and they compose thousands upon thousands of scrolls in monasteries spread across the world. They are all random sayings, certainly not any progressive unfolding of truth without contradiction. The Quran from the very first sura to the last contradicts itself time and time again. The Book of Mormon is the writing of one man, a man who peeped in hats, a charlatan who performed magic tricks and then claimed to receive some special message from God. That is not the Bible, not even remotely so.

God spoke to us in His Word, not through one man, but through forty-four authors separated by great distance and time so that there could be no possibility of coincidence ot random collusion. And in doing so, the Holy Spirit gives us a progressive unfolding of truth, revelation, the story of redemption, the hope for mankind, and the judgment of the world. Thus it can truly be said:

“For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

I'd say it is the Textbook of textbooks, and the final exam is the judgment seat of God.

My friends, the Bible is that two-edged sword. Read it and live. Read it to be wise. Believe it to be safe. Practice it to be holy. You see, this same Word of God, this quick and living Word of God that can change …

This same quick and powerful vWord of God that can change your life, it will also judge the very thoughts and intentions of every man. Jesus the Messiah, when He walked this earth, said:

“And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day” (John 12:47-48).

If you mock the Word of God today in life, it will mock you in your death. If you scold and reproach the Word of God today in life, it will scold and reproach you in eternity. But, if you'll humble yourself before the Lord, draw nigh unto Him through His Word; the Bible says God will draw nigh unto you. He resists the proud, but gives abundant grace to the humble. If you'll humble yourself before the Lord, He will lift you up; and He will change your life as He did mine.

I'm not speaking today of religion or religious topics. I'm not speaking of man-made righteousness or offering up some good advice. I'm speaking of eternal truth, recorded down through the centuries, inspired by the Holy Spirit, preserved by God. The Bible has more ancient manuscript evidence than any other piece of literature in the history of mankind. In fact, concerning the second, number two on the list, you can count the manuscript evidence on your fingers and toes. Thousands and thousands of biblical manuscripts, some dating long before the birth of Christ, give testimony that the book I hold in my hand today is indeed the Book that God gave by the the Holy Spirit to His prophets and preserved for us today. It’s supernatural testimony. It’s supernatural revelation. It is living, and it is powerful.

Aside from the Bible, my friends, you KNOW there is a God. You don't need this Book to tell you that. The problem is manifest all around us. The problem is revealed to all in Creation. Nature, the trees, the mountains, the water, the complexities of the animal kingdom and of the human body … these things bear testimony, self-evident truth that there is indeed a Creator God, a designer, an uncaused cause. It doesn't take much common sense to conclude that dirt plus time plus water DOES NOT equal complex living creatures. The existence of God the Almighty Creator is self-evident truth.

It is also self-evident truth, my friends, that all is not well between the Creator and His creatures. We can look around and see the corruptions and the wickedness and the problems, the trials, the tribulations, the sufferings of this life, the same things that Buddha saw and sought to escape … endless suffering, the pinnacle of which is death. All die, ten out of ten die. Live strong, die anyway. Death is the inevitable sure end of all men, a clear testimony shouting all is not well between the Creator and His creation. There is a BIG PROBLEM. You don't need a Bible to tell you that.

That problem is PERSONAL. It manifests itself even here today when someone offers you good news and you shake your head and keep walking. It is the personal problem of your conscience, given to you by God. You can hear the voice of your conscience every day. You know it's wrong to lie and to steal. You know it's wrong to lust, to covet, to hate. We know all such things are wrong because our conscience bears witness. Yet, we do them anyway; and our conscience condemns us. Your conscience is a warning bell from God that the problem is personal, that you are GUILTY. That is precisely why the Scriptures say:

“For when the Gentiles, which have not the law, do by nature the things contained in the law, these, having not the law, are a law unto themselves: Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another” (Romans 2:14-15).

So friends, these general truths, this problem between the Creator and His creation, these self-evident truths are there for all to see. And yet, this general revelation cannot save. It doesn’t solve the problem. It simply and rightly condemns. Thus God gave mankind SPECIAL REVELATION, the Bible. It is the solution to the PROBLEM of general revelation. It offers redemption from the verdict of creation, the curse of sin, and the condemnation of our conscience. That redemption is for you, if you will but hear it and receive it. Religion is something to be earned. The message of the Bible is a gift to be received. If you will not receive it, if you persist to mock and scoff it, sadly, this same Word of God that can give you life will give you death.

For it is written: “There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God” (Romans 3:10-11).

It reads in the Book of Ecclesiastes, “For there is not a just man upon earth, that doeth good, and sinneth not” (Ecclesiastes 7:20).

Moreover, “The wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:23).

Again, “the soul that sinneth, it shall die” (Ezekiel 18:4).

People may hear the Word of God and keep walking, but you can only walk so far. Your path will ultimately lead you before your Maker. Eventually, you will stand before Him in judgment. And you’ll make all sorts of excuses as to why you didn't know, or as to why you were a good person, or as to why your goodness is just as good as His. And He shall say, “I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (Matthew 7:23). No excuse will stand.

It says in the Scriptures:

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18).

To hold down or suppress the truth means to stick your fingers in your ears, spiritually speaking, and to just keep on walking. Nothing to see here!

It says:

“For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse” (Romans 1:20).

God has revealed Himself to us. We are without excuse. He has not only given us general revelation of Himself, but He has given a special revelation of His character and divine purpose, right here in the Bible, a book so easy for you to obtain and read for yourself here in America. Some of you smile and smirk and think it's all a joke. I thought that way once. But, the God of the Bible radically changed my life.

It is God who gets the last laugh, my friends. “He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh” (Psalm 2:4). The Lord laughs at those who mock Him, for God is not mocked. His Word is not mocked. It has proven itself true, time and time again. It is like a mighty lion. I don’t need to stand here and defend it. I don't have to argue for it. I need not attempt to prove its claims to you. The Bible is like a lion, caged up and hungry. Open that cage door, and set it loose. I dare you. It can tear the flesh and break the bones; it can divide asunder soul from spirit; it can more than defend itself.

Many here today would boast of their education, or in the knowledge they have retained, or perhaps their career, a 20th century American invention that cannot bring real happiness. Some would boast in manmade wisdom. But the Scriptures say, “But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD” (Jeremiah 9:24) and “he that glorieth, let him glory in the Lord” (I Corinthians 1:31). My friends, I know some of you can't understand such things, for God uses the foolish things of this world to confound the wise. And I know some of you will just walk by, laughing and mocking. It's okay; I love you anyway. I know you cannot comprehend it because God uses foolish things to trip up the wisdom of this world. I will, however, tell you this:

Today’s preaching, this preaching concerning the Word of God and the Cross may be foolishness to those, like some of you, who are perishing; but if you pass by and have been saved by the Lord, you know that this Gospel is the power of God. You know it to be true and quick and powerful. I really don't care if many of you think I'm a fool. I AM a fool, and I echo the words of Paul the Apostle: “We are fools for Christ's sake” (I Corinthians 4:10). Who's fool are you? Are you a fool for the education system? Are you a fool for your professors? Are you a fool for a dead man’s religion? Are you a fool for your boss? He probably doesn't even care about you or your family; he simply sees you as he can use you. Are you a fool for the “American Dream,” a genuine nightmare? Are you a fool for the things of this world that will surely pass away? It is he that does the will of God who will abide forever. The will of God is to believe the Word of God, to take Him at His word. And that starts, my friend, by opening His Word and seeing what He has to say to you.

Maybe you are just not interested; that's fine. God is not a beggar. Your Maker is not a beggar. He doesn't need your allegiance to be glorified. He doesn't need your adoration and worship to be glorified. He is glorified in Himself, by Himself, and through Himself. The simple fact that He would even offer salvation is testimony of His great mercy and grace. But if that grace and that mercy is spurned, there is no escape from God's wrath and judgment. The LORD is a wrathful and vengeful God. He is a stronghold in the day of trouble to those that trust in Him, but a righteous Judge all the same. Our human goodness can never measure up to His righteousness, His perfect standard. If man's righteousness at its very best state were to be described in terms of the color white, man's righteousness would be white like the white wool of a sheep, like the wool of a clean ewe lamb. Put that ewe out there in some brown brush green grass, and it looks white; it looks pure. God's righteousness, however, isn't like the white wool of a sheep. His righteousness is like the freshly fallen snow. If you take that same white ewe lamb standing in the green grass and move her to a field of freshly fallen snow, that creature doesn’t look so white anymore. Such is man at his very best state when compared to God’s standard of goodness. Thus, it is written:

“Verily every man at his best state is altogether vanity” (Psalm 39:5).

That is why even the prophets say they sought forgiveness, for before God, even the best of men is but vain. Yet, unlike the gods of manmade religion, the Maker of heaven and earth, my friends, can make us clean, whiter than snow, something that the gods of man-made religion are unwilling and quite unable to do. God says in His Word:

“Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else. I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear” (Isaiah 45:22-23).

There you have it, the LORD says He can make you clean, but you have to want it. You must receive it. God provided the means to cleanse us from our sins, to make us righteous, and to give us life: the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, the Messiah of Israel. Just as it was recorded in the Scriptures, this supernatural Book, Almighty God stepped into space and time roughly 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ of Nazareth … not just a man, not just a teacher, but Almighty God in human flesh, just as it was written. He was born of a virgin, born in Bethlehem, of the tribe of Judah, raised in Nazareth, One who performed miracles to prove his claims about Himself. He opened the eyes of the blind; he healed the sick; he raised the dead; there were eyewitness testimonies left and right; and it was all just as it had been written long before.

Some of you just pass by with a stupid look on your face, a countenance that communicates: "This is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.” I'm not surprised; that is how sinful hearts respond to the compassion and love of God. This is exactly what they did to Jesus Christ. Though He loved many, though He healed many, though He showed compassion upon the masses in fulfillment of prophecy, they crucified Him. They killed the Lord of glory.

But again, just as it was written this Book, Jesus Christ proved every claim He ever made about Himself to be true when, after being crucified as an offering for sin, He got up from the grave just as He said He would do multiple times to His disciples. He is a living Savior, not a dead prophet with a sealed tomb that can be visited to this day.

It was written in the Scriptures of the Messiah of God: His soul would not see corruption, that God would make His soul an offering for sin, and that He would be buried with the rich in death, but that He would rise again. Thus, Jesus Himself could proclaim with confidence to those who doubted: “I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live” (John 19:25). It is a spiritual birth, my friends, the most important type of birth. That which is natural passes away, but the spirit endures forever. The spirits of some will be given new bodies to endure forever under eternal damnation, separation from God in just and fiery judgment. The spirits of those who receive this free gift of salvation in Messiah shall be given new bodies and endure forever in the presence of God and His holy angels, in the presence of the Lord of glory. Though he were dead, yet shall he live.

My friends, this is the overriding theme of the Bible from beginning to end: the glory of Almighty God as manifested in redemption, the riches of God freely given to those who do not deserve it through the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the righteousness of Almighty God manifested in the judgment of the wicked who reject so great a salvation. Eternal salvation is for those who will repent and believe, the means by which God is glorified.

Jesus Christ is and will be glorified despite the rejections of men, despite the mockings of naysayers. Will you taste today and see that the Lord is good? Will you taste that honeycomb of His Word and find it sweet? Or, will you spurn it, reject it, mock it, foolishly claiming that you cannot believe in something you do not see. Friends, you believe in things you do not see every single day: historical figures, claims made in your textbooks, things you can't possibly test or observe with your own eyes. You will buy all that stuff hook, line, and sinker; and yet you assume that to believe the Bible is to do something different than you do every day. Make no mistake: without faith (faith is believing what you cannot see), it is impossible to please God. He that comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him (Hebrews 11:6).

The Bible has much to say about faith, something that we fail to comprehend in our comfort zones of today. Some of you think that the life you have built for yourself is rock solid, erected upon a foundation of stone. My friends, the things in this world will pass away. There is no security in the “American Dream. There is no security in the United States government. There is no security in education and science. Science changes its conclusions all the time. There is no security in manmade religion. There is no security in politicians, Republicans or Democrats. There is no real security in any of these things we blindly trust every day. But, there is tight security in the Lord. Some of you continue to laugh at all this, but God has the last laugh. He does laugh. It is written that He sits in the heavens and laughs at those who mock His plan and purpose. He holds them in derision who mock His Messiah. Read Psalm 2.

Look, I'm not talking about some manmade god. I'm certainly not talking about the Allah of the Quran or some lifeless deity that a guy fashioned in his own mind to serve his own lusts and pleasures. I am declaring the Maker of heaven and earth, Jehovah Elohim, God Almighty, and the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is written down in the Book of Acts:

“God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth, and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation” (Acts 17:24-26).

God doesn't need your worship, my friends. He doesn't need your adoration or your religious ritual. He gives to all life, breath, and all things. He has made all nations of men. The creature cannot overthrow God the Creator. Man cannot overthrow the plan and purpose of God for history and the ages. He may think he can.

“That they should seek the Lord, if haply they might feel after him, and find him, though he be not far from every one of us” (Acts 17:27).

The Maker of heaven and earth is transcendent above His creation, and yet, He is imminent, involved in His creation. He is not far from you, if you will seek Him.

“For in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain also of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring” (Acts 17:28).

Even sinful man recognizes that we are the offspring of God.

“Forasmuch then as we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and man's device” (Acts 17:29).

See what man does! He makes gods out of images, out of creatures, out of men. We here in America, we don't bow down to idols of stone and wood and earth; but we certainly have our idols—the American dollar, your college professor, a sports figure, or humankind in general. God has winked at such foolishness, such ignorance, in times past.

“But now commandeth all men every where to repent” (Acts 17:30).

Why?

“Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead” (Acts 17:31).

That man is the Lord Jesus Christ. When Paul the Apostle preached this message, folks in the crowd mocked. It is the same today. Why is it when the GOOD NEWS of Jesus Christ is proclaimed, some will mock, some will laugh, some will spurn, others will smirk. And yet, God's arm remains outstretched, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Notwithstanding, the day of the Lord, the day of His judgment written about here, it will come despite your mockings and despite your doubts. It will come as a thief in the night. The heavens shall be dissolved, and the earth will melt with fervent heat. Those that know the Lord, those who follow Him, those who believe upon Him, we look for a new heavens and a new earth wherein dwells true righteousness.

And my friends, that's good news for all men. The Bible is redemption for all men. God doesn't exist to destroy you, as do the gods of manmade religion. God is not willing that any should perish. He wants to grant unto you eternal life, but if you will not receive this gift … judgment, eternal death, and hell are a just reward, a righteous reward.

The fact that God would even give you His Word, that He would even warn you of His judgment is a testimony to His mercy. The gods of Disneyland religions: they don't warn, they do as they please. These devils do what they please, thinking only of themselves. But there is One who rules and reigns above the gods and devils of men.

“For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the LORD made the heavens” (Psalm 96:5).

The LORD sees all and knows all. He is merciful and kind and gracious. But, justice will be served, for He is a righteous judge. He cannot be bribed with money and influence. He cannot be bought off like the judges and politicians of our American society.

America’s Founding Fathers understood these things. They understood the importance of having society governed by God and His Word. In fact, James Madison, the one who penned the rough draft of the US Constitution, declared that our national security as a nation wasn't dependent upon military or our armies. America’s national security is dependent upon the people's ability to fear and believe and live the Word of God. Many would accuse Thomas Jefferson of being a deist. A deist would assent that there is perhaps some sort of a God, and perhaps He did create the world. But, like a watchmaker, He left it to move on to other things; He wound it up and left it to run on its own. That is deism by definition. It’s also agnosticism and Mormonism. Interestingly, you can read Jefferson’s own writings, his own words, inscribed upon stone in Washington, DC. He doesn’t speak of God as uninvolved in His present creation. On the Jefferson Memorial’s northwest wall down in the cherry grove, it is written: “Indeed I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just, that his justice cannot sleep forever.” He feared for his country when men would forget that freedom, like salvation, is a gift of God, therefore lightly esteeming it.

My friends, your freedom is indeed a GIFT from God. Our nation has been blessed with freedom, a gift we did not deserve and a gift we have spurned. That is precisely why we will allow our liberties to be taken away bit by bit in the name of safety and security. Spurning freedom as God’s gift leads to imprisonment; it leads to bondage; it leads to tyranny. In the same way, if we spurn God's gift of salvation, it leads to eternal bondage. Thomas Jefferson would assuredly ask Americans today: "How could you forget that freedom is a gift of God?”

I would say ask you today, “How could you forget this great salvation declared in the Word of God?”

As long as there remains breath in your body, my friends, you can be saved from even the most wicked of sins. Beware, however, God is not a beggar. He is a great King who rules over the whole world. He will not beg you to come to Him. He offers you salvation freely; He commands you to repent and believe the Gospel. But, every decision we make has consequences, some of them temporary, some of them eternal. The most foolish decision you could make today is to put your fingers in your ears and ignore your Maker when He is speaking to you. Hell and eternal judgment are real. That is why men fear death. Even the most ardent and boastful of atheists, when faced with death, imminent death, are fearful. Just go look up the last recorded words of some of these famous men who boasted in their knowledge and in their agnosticism—their last words, the last thing they spoke here on earth. You will find that fear caught up with them. Apart from the Lord, it catches up with us all.

There is an escape, however. There is an escape from God's judgment, and His name is Jesus Christ. I know some of you think it is all a joke. You smirk, laugh, pass by, and mock. That’s fine. I, too, used to mock the Lord; I used to mock His truth; and I don't understand why God saw fit to save me. Yet, He did. He changed my life and gave me a desire to share this Good News with you, not to come out here and scream at you and pretend to know your heart. I don't know your heart, but God does. I can only declare unto you His truth, warn you of His judgment, assure you that there is hope in Jesus Christ … not the gods of men, but the God of creation. I can only speak to you the truth.

There is indeed absolute truth. Some of you would vehemently claim otherwise. You would make an absolute claim that there is no absolute truth and thereby contradict yourself. There is absolute truth, and absolute truth is self-evident. We may throw such truth in the streets here in America, as Israel of old once did. Good may be deemed evil in our society, and evil may be deemed good. Truth may be trampled upon in America’s gutters, but God reigns supreme. As Jesus Christ said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6).

Your manmade gods cannot save you. Muhammad is a dead prophet. Buddha is a dead man who would turn over in his grave if he knew that people worshiped him as a god today. All you have to do is read his own words. He spoke of the Creator as being someone who could not be approached unless the Creator decided to reveal himself. This He did in the person in work of Jesus Christ. There is a way that seems right unto a man, but the end thereof is the way of death. There is a broad road that leads to destruction. Wide is the gate, broad is the path, as Jesus preached, that leads to destruction; and many there be that follow this path. Strait is the gate and narrow is the way that leads to life. There are few who find it, VERY FEW.

You might ask, why? It is because men love their sin. They love themselves, and their pride, and their arrogance, and their fornication, and their homosexual perversion. They love the oppression of the poor and the persecution of the righteous. They justify the wicked and trample the virtuous. Such is the nature of man: rebellion against God in every culture and every nation, even in those nations where God has revealed Himself and blessed the people. Thus, those in America today who reject Him are all the more deserving of His wrath ad damnation. Some would say “God bless America!” No, no, no … GOD SAVE THE UNITED STATES. Our nation deserves His justice and His wrath. God is not an American. He is not even a Republican. He is a mighty KING who reigns over the whole world. Just because you live in America doesn't make you any better than anyone else. It doesn't make you any better or any more deserving in God's eyes than anyone else. Jesus said:

“For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more” (Luke 12:48).

The fact that you are here, that you get to study here, that you get to taste of the freedom and the blessings of this society and to sip of its affluence … that means you are all the more responsible for what you do with God's truth. Indeed, to whom much is given, much will be required.

Humble yourselves today, my friends. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't dare lean upon your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths. The Bible warns against being wise in your own eyes. Fear the Lord. Fear God and depart from evil.

Thank you for listening today. I'm just a humble servant. Again, I did not come here to curse you, nor to point a finger at you and condemn you. Our sin already condemns us. If we reject the good news of the Gospel, we are already condemned; and your conscience bears witness to this every day. I simply stand here as a testimony that God can take a wicked man out of a wicked world, change him, put him back into a wicked world and use him, empower him to do what is right and bring glory to Him.

My friends, if God can do that for me, He can do that for you. If you would like a Gospel tract or a Bible, they are FREE. Thank you again. May the Lord bless you and keep you. May He make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you. May the Lord of heaven look down and grant you peace today, His peace. Jesus didn't say it like manmade prophets:  “Be like me, and I can show you peace or help you find peace.” Jesus taught that He was peace.

“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you” (John 14:27).

Behold the Bible, my friends. Behold the Word of God. Amen.

“On April 8, 2011, I was driving home to North Carolina from Philadelphia in the rain. I needed a break from the traffic and decided to stop in Washington DC to preach for a few minutes outside The White House. I had a loud speaker and was given great freedom to lift up my voice. At one point, an officer approached and simply asked if I would refrain from pointing the half-mile hailer directly at The White House. I happily obliged and turned the speaker’s mouth to the side. This same officer confirmed that President Obama was inside the White House. Thus, I preached” (Jesse Boyd).

Good afternoon folks. My name is Jesse. I'm from North Carolina and am simply driving home today from Philadelphia to North Carolina. I needed a break from the traffic and decided to pause for an hour or so to preach God’s Word to you today, even though it’s raining.

I think it's great to be able to stand outside The White House and preach the words of eternal life. There aren’t many countries in the world where you can stand outside the residence of the leader or the king and declare truth, calling one’s own nation to repentance. The other day, I was reading a statement made by our second president, John Adams, from one of his personal journals. He wrote about how every night, under the burden and pressures of the presidency, he would kneel beside his bed. And in a spirit of repentance with heartfelt sorrow, he penned,

"I would confess the multitude of my sins, my foibles, and my weaknesses to Almighty God and plead His help and assistance as I endeavor to do my duty.”

Now, contrast that with today and with our President of today, who tells half the nation that he is a Christian to collect votes, and then once he comes into The White House, he doesn't even have time to go to church, doesn't even bother. That's the politician of the day. They tell you things to get your vote out of one corner of their mouthes. They claim they are “Christian.” And then, out of the other side of their mouths, they sanction and affirm things that God and His Word, the Bible, declare to be abomination and wickedness. So, we have profound hypocrisy from our politicians today, particularly our President. Contrast that Founders and early Presidents such as John Adams, who openly confessed their inability before God and spoke of calling out to the Lord in repentance each night before bed. Oh, that we as Americans would be like John Adams! Oh, that our attitude would be one of understanding our need to repent before a Holy God!  Oh, that we with heartfelt sorrow, as individual Americans in this free land would go to our beds in the night and confess with repentance the multitude of our sins, foibles, and weaknesses before the Holy God of all Creation.

My friends, trust me! There are a multitude of sins, foibles, and weaknesses that render us guilty before God, not only corporately as a nation but as individual citizens. During the bloodiest days well into civil war, Abraham Lincoln called the nation to repentance, suddenly understanding that a bloody brother war was judgment from God. Thomas Jefferson called the nation to repentance and a day of fasting during his presidency. James Madison did the same when the British burned The White House and the Capitol back in 1812. How far have we fallen today, my friends! We don't even want to mention the name of God, much less that of the Messiah, Jesus Christ, in the halls of our government. It’s almost funny, for the men we look up to in our history books shouted exactly the opposite. I believe it was Patrick Henry, well-known for his brash statement “Give me liberty or give me death,” who also said of America many years later:

“This great nation was founded, not by religionists, but by Christians; not on religions, but on the Gospel of Jesus Christ.”

Today, it seems, we can't even mention Christ. Of course, when kids go into a school and shoot up the place and kill their classmates, we want to blame God and Jesus for that, never considering that we kicked God out of the schools many years ago and told Him He was not welcome. So, why do we expect Him to come in there and save the day?

No friends, we need to be like John Adams and confess our sins before God. I call upon our President today. I call him out. President Obama, I call you out. I plead with you to humble yourself before the Lord and to lead us as a people in humility before Almighty God. I ask you to be who you claim to be. You have said before many witnesses that you are a Christian. But sir, how can you be a Christian and yet claim it's okay to murder the unborn children in the womb, especially when most of aborted babies in this nation are African-American. How can you say that? How can you say that you are a Christian while sanctioning and affirming lifestyles that God says are an abomination to a nation? I call you out, Mr. President. I ask that you would lead us, as John Adams led the nation many years ago, in a spirit heartfelt repentance. I ask that in a spirit of love, sir. I love you and the Bible commands that we as Christians pray for you as our leader.  That's what we do. We pray that God would give you wisdom and discernment, but more important than that, that He would grant you repentance and faith, that you might point this nation back to righteousness.

But dear sir, I don't know if you can hear me or not, BE WARNED, BEWARE. Just as the preachers warned our politicians all through the early days of this nation’s inception, be warned that God is not mocked. Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Sir, if you sow to the flesh, you will reap to the flesh. I implore you to turn this nation back to the God of its Fathers, to lead us in repentance for the wickedness of this nation.

Here in America, we pridefully think we are entitled to the blessings of God. And yet in truth, we are one of the most morally reprehensible countries in the history of the world. Things that even heathen Third World considers taboo, we not only do them, we take pleasure in them. You'd be hard pressed to find women, who have all the circumstances of life against them in a Third World village, ready and willing to kill the babies in their wombs. You'd be hard pressed to find poor Third World societies, that have all the excuses in the world to be angry with God … you’d be hard pressed to find these declare that homosexuality is okay with God. You'd be hard pressed to find these things in heathen nations, but here in America …

Just look at marriage. More than fifty percent of marriages end in divorce. At least half of the marriages in the church end in divorce, and we say, “It’s okay. It’s no big deal. Jesus preached against the divorce, my friend. Oh, there can be forgiveness from God, but that doesn't make it right.

Mr. President, I don't blame you for the state of our nation. I blame the churches. I blame the pastors and America's pulpits where few have the guts to preach truth as men of God did in the old days. You see, men of God in the early years that sandwiched the founding of our country were not afraid to speak blunt truth. In fact, if it weren't for some bold Baptist preachers in Virginia, my friends, we wouldn't have a Bill of Rights in the Constitution. You see, James Madison was running to be a delegate from the State of Virginia for the Constitutional Convention of 1787, and he found himself in a strange quandary. Mr. Madison didn't have the votes to be elected delegate from Virginia. And yet, he was the very man who had penned the rough draft of the proposed United States Constitution. So, it appeared tha the man who had actually written the draft wouldn't even be elected to attend the Constitutional Convention and vote on that document from his state. There was a Baptist preacher named John Leland from Virginia. He, along with other Christian Baptist preachers agreed:

”You know what, let's talk to Mr. Madison. He needs to guarantee us that as Christians, we will have freedom of religion and freedom of speech in this country” [my paraphrase]

You see, those preachers understood that in a society where men were free to hear God speak to their conscience, apart from the trappings of a state church, in such an environment, the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ (which is not religion, but a free gift upon repentance and faith) would best thrive.

There was no Bill of Rights in the Constitution, my friends. These would be amendments to the Constitution once the Constitution was ratified by the States. James Leland, that Baptist preacher, acted as spokesman for the other preachers of the state and met personally with James Madison under an oak tree out near The Wilderness in Central Virginia, the same area where a terribly bloody battle would take place in 1863 between the the armies of Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant. Leland conveyed to Mr. Madison:

“Listen, we will put our support behind you, and we will tell our church bodies to vote for you as a delegate if you will guarantee us that there will be freedom of religion and freedom of speech inscribed in this Constitution—inscribed freedom for us to speak out God's truth, even against political leaders, and to call this nation to repentance at any time” [my paraphrase].

Quite unlike the politicians of today, Mr. Madison gave his word: that if they would elect him to be a delegate from the State of Virginia, he would ensure that these things, a Bill of Rights, would be etched into the Constitution. The Constitution was passed, and the first order of business thereafter was our Bill of Rights. Mr. Madison indeed kept his word to a group of Baptist preachers. A Bill of Rights guaranteed us something that other nations have never guaranteed to citizens, that the truth could be spoken, that there would be no state church, that there should be no government-sanctioned persecution of Christians, and of course, no government-sanctioned persecution of Jews, nor a government-sanctioned persecution of any faith. I'm thankful for that, my friends, and do you want to know why a Christian preacher can say such a thing? It is because I know there to be a Sovereign God who rules in the affairs of men; and He doesn't need the trappings of government to speak to your conscience. In fact, apart from the trappings of government, you are more able to hear the voice of God in creation and in your conscience, calling you to repentance. So, I’m very thankful for our Bill of Rights.

But alas, how far have we fallen! In that day, a politician gave his word, and he kept it. In this day, no politicians do. How many things did our president today say he would do in his campaign, and yet, he has not. I don't hold him or our political leaders responsible. I hold the nation responsible, particularly the churches. We have turned blind eyes to sin in this country. We have forgotten the God of our Fathers. We are guilty of the very things our Founding Fathers warned against.

George Washington, in his farewell address to the nation, warned us of the day when we would forget the source of our freedom and our existence, Almighty God, the God of Heaven. James Madison warned us of the day when Americans would think our national security to be rooted in anything other than our ability and our desire as a society to follow the Law of God, the Ten Commandments. Friends, we have forgotten this. Not only we've forgotten it, but like Israel of old, we have turned from the God of our Fathers to worship other gods.

For many of you, your god is money. For some of you, your god is a politician. In America, we make gods out of men who can rock-n-roll, or who can throw a leather ball into an iron hoop, or who can carry a pigskin across a grassy field. I'm not preaching against sports, but we have undoubtedly made them idols. Some of us have made an idol out of the pastor of our church, not willing to test what is preached with the Word of God. Some of us have made idols out of our jobs, our paychecks, our careers, and we have turned away from God. We have forgotten Him.

And in the churches, I would say that evidence of God's judgment against our country is abundantly clear. There is evidence that God has already judged us can be found every Sunday morning at eleven o'clock from sea to shining sea. It’s the caliber of preaching that is in America's pulpits of today. This is hard evidence that the Lord's judgment is already upon us. My friends, it is indeed a scary place to be for a once free and blessed nation: all these little preachers, these sissy reverends pontificating about hoping and coping and sharing their sermonettes for Christian-ettes. Thank God He has reserved to Himself a Remnant. Thank God He always has a Remnant, and the truth is always available, and He's always got His prophets, even today. I’m speaking today, not because I claim to be somebody special or important. Neither am I here to recruit you to my church. You would have to drive 6-7 hours to get there anyway. I’m simply here to declare the Word of God. His judgment upon this nation has already begun, but friends, there remains hope. We have sinned against a Holy God. Our consciences bear witness. We have lied, we have stolen, we have blasphemed with our mouths and by our lifestyles.  We have committed adultery and murder. Jesus preached that God sees our lust as adultery and our hatred as murder. Not only have we done these things, we have known them to be wrong and offensive before the Lord, and yet, we take pleasure in them. We celebrate our iniquity. America is indeed guilty before a Holy God.

A just and holy God cannot tolerate sin and we deserve His judgment. We deserve His judgment as a nation. We deserve hell and white-hot wrath for all eternity. But my friends, there remains hope against all hope. I’m not a preacher of doom. I'm not here to condemn you. We are already condemned. I'm a preacher of love, and I'm here to indeed declare that we we are HELPLESS without a Savior. And yet, we are only HOPELESS if there is no Savior. Hallelujah, there is a Savior! Hallelujah, what a Saviour!

Almighty God demonstrated his love for us, in that while we were yet sinners—not while we were good people or righteous people—but while we were sinners, Christ Jesus died for us. Jesus Christ was God in the flesh. You see, God formed the body for Himself, and He filled it like a hand fills a glove. He stepped into space and time, the fullness of the Godhead bodily. He walked the dusty roads of Galilee. He was tempted in all points like as we are, he suffered in all points like as we have, YET WITHOUT SIN. And then He, who knew no sin, became sin for us. When those Roman soldiers nailed Jesus of Nazareth to that rugged cross as His Jewish brethren stood by and mocked … My friends, the Jews didn't kill Christ. The Romans didn't kill Christ. Christ Jesus laid His life down. He laid his life down as a sacrifice for our sins, a perfect blood sacrifice to cover our sins, much like the blood of that Passover lamb covered the people of Israel as they fled from Egypt, that same night God slew all of Egypt's firstborn.

A legal transaction took place between God and man on the Cross of Jesus Christ. Almighty God stepped in to pay your fine and mine, Mr. President. He stepped in to pay your fine on the cross. We broke His moral law. He paid the fine with His life's blood; and three days later He took his life up again and rose from the dead, proving that His sacrifice was efficacious and accepted by God the Father. Christ Jesus is not hanging on a cross anymore, my Catholic friends. He has risen from the grave. He has risen from death. Mr. President, our Savior is not a dead religion; He is a Living Savior. He is a Great King, and His salvation is free. Oh, for the sake of those precious children of yours, that you would turn to Christ and raise them in the fear and abomination of the Lord. That's your primary duty, Mr. President, as a father. This supersedes your duty as President, my friend.

Jesus Christ indeed rose from the grave, and therefore salvation from sin is available to all. The ground at the foot of the cross is level. Salvation is AVAILABLE to all, but my friends, it is not AUTOMATIC. God commands us to repent and believe; He doesn't offer us salvation. He provided it, and now He commands us to repent of our sins.

Let's stop making excuses for our sin as a nation! Let's stop making excuses for our sins a individual citizens! God says abortion is murder. He says homosexuality is abomination. He says fornication is a dangerous sin. He says that covetousness is idolatry of the heart. Anger without cause is murder of the heart. Lust is adultery of the heart. The Lord has said; thus saith the LORD! Let us quit making excuses and acknowledge truth for what it is, that we we are helplessly lost without a savior and that only Jesus the Messiah, the Anointed of God, can save us. Let us REPENT.

God commands us to repent and and put out trust in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, His death, His burial, and His glorious resurrection. I'm not talking about a head knowledge, my friends, a simple assent to some historical facts. Biblical faith is complete trust. It is the same trust you would have in a parachute, if you grabbed it in a downing plane. You would assuredly never let go.

Many people today try on Jesus, and like a jacket when it becomes unfashionable or out-of-style, they pass it aside. The faith the Bible speaks about is serve to grab hold of Jesus Christ and hold tightly, never letting loose. Cease trusting in your religion, your church attendance. Quit trusting in these things. Start trusting Christ. In the Messiah, God promises that He will save us from our sin, that He will declare us to be righteous. And in giving us His Holy Spirit, He will conform us to the image we've been declared to have in Christ and He will indeed give to us eternal life. Friends, that is the Gospel.

The Gospel is simply. Jesus Christ was crucified according to the Scriptures. He was buried. And on the third day he rose again from the dead according to the Scriptures. This is not religion; it's life. And Jesus Christ can free you, my Catholic friend, my Mormon friend, my JW friend, my Muslim friend … Jesus Christ can free you from the bondage of your religion.

My fellow Americans, we must humble ourselves before God. We cannot understand the Gospel, neither can we embrace it, neither can we be saved except we repent. And, we must repent as a nation. Mr. President, I implore you to lead us into repentance. Be assured that I will pray for you. My young seven-year-old daughter, just a couple of weeks ago, prayed very simply and humbly that Mr. Obama would repent and trust Jesus. I share that in love, sir.

The God of our Fathers commands us to repent and believe on Jesus Christ. He may judge this nation. He may very well overthrow it, and yet, He remains in the work of saving men, changing them individually from the inside out. Will you escape on His day of wrath? Only Jesus can save you to God, my fellow Americans. Only Jesus can save you to a relationship with God. But, we warned, BEWARE, only Jesus can save you from God. You need to be saved from God because His wrath is white-hot.

The nations of the earth, even nuclear superpowers, are but a drop in a bucket before the Almighty. His judgment is coming. How can we escape if we neglect so great salvation?

Mr. President, how can our nation escape if we neglect so great salvation which was spoken of by the Prophets, the so great salvation Jesus Christ fulfilled according to the Scriptures. How can we escape, Mr. President?

Please consider my words today, proclaimed in this Spring rain. I pray this preaching has been a blessing to you. Time is short. Judgment is indeed coming. Flee to Jesus Christ before it is too late.

“Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy, To the only wise God our Saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion and power, both now and ever. Amen” (Jude 24-25).

This open-air message was preached by Jesse Boyd from the sidewalk outside an abortion mill near Hebron Street in Charlotte, North Carolina on January 22, 2011. Thankfully, this mill is now closed.

My friends, I'm not going to stand here today, call out to you, and play upon your distorted view of victimhood. I am not here to try to “win you over” through flattering speech or by pleading or imploring with you. No, I am here today to declare unto you the righteousness of Almighty God your Maker. For in the Gospel of Jesus Christ is the righteousness of God revealed. And, my friends, one side of that Gospel is undoubtedly the redemption of man. But man's redemption is only available, only possible, because God punished the sins of the world upon the shoulders of His only-begotten Son.

This cross we have out here today is a visible reminder of the love of God toward mankind in Christ the Messiah. But, it is also a very visible declaration of the wrath of God upon sin. Whoever you are inside that building … whether you are a mother contemplating the murder of your child; or whether you are one of the “escorts” who can't get a job somewhere else; or maybe you are the filthy, wicked, and abominable doctor inside who lusts after the blood of unborn babies like a vampire … You need to open your eyes and take your fingers out of your ears. You need to wake up to the fact that God is real, and His judgment cometh swiftly. When it comes, be it today or a thousand years from now, it comes swiftly.

The rich and the poor, they go to the same place—to the grave. And all who go to the grave will stand before their Maker in judgment. And WITCH DOCTOR, you inside that “clinic,” WITCH DOCTOR: You are most assuredly going to stand before God and give an account for every singe unborn child that you have butchered and chopped up in the womb. DEATHSCORT: You re going to stand before God for turning a blind eye to injustice, for being an accomplice to murder. And MOTHER: you are not a victim! I don't care what anybody has told you. You are not a victim unless you are an under-aged child who is being physically forced to have an abortion by wicked parents. You are not a victim unless you are being carrying to the “operating table” against your physical strength and your physical will by those who overpower you PHYSICALLY.

You are not a victim. If you go through with this decision you're a murderer. Excepting such things, you are already a murderer in God's eyes. For God sees our hatred as murder. That's what Jesus said, and no, I'm not minimizing murder. I'm MAXIMIZING hatred.

I don't care what you may have been told. You have a mind. You have the ability to make reasonable choices. You are going to choose to do what's wrong. And don't use the excuse that you are being deceived. Yes, these people are trying to deceive you. They want you to believe that this procedure is safe. They want you to believe that it wil not affect you emotionally or physically. They want you to believe that what is inside of you is not a human being. But being deceived will not be an excuse for you on the Day of Judgment. It won't be an excuse, for Almighty God your Maker gave you a conscience. And my friend, your conscience bears witness clearly to what is right and what is wrong.

God's law says “Thou shalt not kill.” Yes, times have changed, but God says “Thou shalt not kill!” And these unborn ones who are carried like lambs to the slaughter, whose lives are poured out like water … you can rest assured that the Maker of heaven and earth, the Almighty, omnipotent, omniscient, all-powerful Creator, will avenge the blood their blood.

If you are a dad who came here today and dropped your girlfriend off, who just let her go through with this because YOU are too much of a coward to stand up and say “No,” too much of a coward to sacrifice your own pleasures so that you can provide for your family and raise your child in a home in which that child is provided for, then SHAME ON YOU. You may be a tough man, you may be from the streaks of the herd, or maybe you just think you are tough, but you are in trust a COWARD. And guess what? Cowardice is a sin. The cowards are the first in line for the Lake of Fire. Go read Revelation 21:8. It's the fearful and cowardly who are cast into Hell, along with the murders, and the fornicators, and the adulterers, and all the liars, and the homosexuals and the sexually perverted, and all of these other things that God hates.

I am not out here today to judge you, I am not a judge. I don't know your heart, but God does. I am simply relaying to you what God hath declared. Thus, you have no excuse. In fact, the God of the Bible whom I preach, the same God does love you. He loves you, and the proof is that He sent His Son to die for your sins. The proof is that if you humble yourself and come to Christ and receive this free gift of salvation, God will forgive you. That's a God of love. But, my foolish friends God is also God of holiness and mercy. He loves more than you. He loves righteousness. He loves life. He created life. He loves it. He loves purity. He loves holiness. loves his Bride, the Church. He loves His chosen, the people of Israel. He loves the little children. The Bible says,

“Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God” (Mark 10:14).

And because God loves, he must also hate. That is what most of these churches in this city won't tell you. That is what most of these simp pastors won't tell you. God’s love demands and necessitates that He must also hate. That is precisely why the sweet Psalmist of Israel declares:

“The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: Thou hatest all workers of iniquity” (Psalm 5:5).

You cannot have true love without hate. I'm not talking about fleshly, emotional hatred, selfish hate, I'm talking about RIGHTEOUS hatred, perfect hatred:

“I hate them with perfect hatred: I count them mine enemies” (Psalm 139:22).

I love children. And my friends, because I love children, I hate what takes place in this building, this concentration camp. Because I love little babies, and the Lord has blessed me with three of my own, I despise what takes place behind those depressing brick walls. I despise it. I despise my country that thinks this Holocaust is okay and that it is an advanced form of medical care. Such is what they thought in Nazi Germany. In my opinion, America is no different than the Third Reich. There, wicked men burned Jews in the ovens, here they chop unborn babies to pieces. In Nazi Germany, the genocide was primarily limited to one people group and a few others. Here in America, it’s a free-for-all. Kill the babies, kill the babies, anyone, anywhere, anytime—our own people. Hitler, Goering, Himmler, Goebbels, and Eichmann—as wicked as they were—didn’t sanction the slaughter of THEIR OWN PEOPLE, THEIR OWN POSTERITY. We do … and this is WORSE than Nazi Germany. They committed mass murder. We are committing mass murder AND the suicide of our own people.

Don't tell me this is about choice It's not about choice at all. Doctor, you wicked witch doctor, you heathen witch doctor inside this building: You got your cameras out here and you carry your gun, whatever, whoever you are that owns this building. You are disgusting, number one. Number two, it's never been about choice to you. It has never been about women's needs or healthcare. It is all about the MONEY to you.

The abortion industry thrives and exists upon the money that it robs from these women. You see, if it really was about women's rights, if this really was about protecting women, then these abortuaries would be 510(c)(3) non-profit organizations, and these “services” would be offered for free. But they're not for free. Oh no, they are not for free. We preachers may look stupid or sound stupid, but know what it's about with you folks. God knows your heart. God knows the truth, and you will give account.

Because God loves, He must also hate. You cannot have heat without cold; you cannot have cold without heat; you cannot have righteous love without righteous hatred. The Bible tells us exactly what God hates.

“These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.” (Proverbs 6:16-19).

Folks, I dare say that many of you in that building are guilty of every single one of these abominations that follow. What this industry does is a succinct summation of all of these evils rolled up into one.

God says he hates a PROUD LOOK. I have never met an abortion doctor who didn't have a proud look on his or her face. I've seen them march into the clinics in the morning with a smirk, as if they are providing some sort of virtuous service to mankind. God hates your proud look. I've seen the proud looks of these deathscorts, not escorts, who come out here to usher people in and snatch away the literature godly folks gifted them from outside the gate. That’s a proud look, and your Maker hates it.

God also hates a LYING TONGUE. Oh, there are plenty of lying tongues in that building and in every other Bergen-Belsen in this land. Plenty of lying tongues will wag to these women that the “procedure” is safe. Plenty of lying tongues will wag to these people that there is no human being inside of them, despite the FACT that life, scientifically speaking, is a CONTINUOUS thing that begins with conception. It is continuous until it is snuffed out. How can you say it's not a human being? That is a lying tongue, and the Lord hates it.

A proud look, a lying tongue, HANDS THAT SHED INNOCENT BLOOD … that sums up this wicked family reproductive health center on Hebron Street. It sums up the wicked center on Latrobe Avenue. It sums up that wicked abortuary in Asheville, the one in Winston-Salem, the one you refer people to in Atlanta for late-term abortions—all hands that shed innocent blood. In fact, it ought not say out here “Family reproductive health. Hablamos Espanol.” It ought to say on that sign, "Hands that shed innocent blood. Hablamos Espanol.” That would be a better more accurate sign because babies are murdered here. And trust me, my friend, God hates it.

Now, maybe He is not the God of your pastor, maybe He is not the God of your church, maybe He is not the God you claim to serve, you know, the god of this world, the evil one, Satan that old serpent. No, he certainly doesn't hate it, but the Creator God who is above all the gods of men, He indeed hates it and He will see justice done.

A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, A HEART THAT DEVISETH WICKED IMAGINATIONS … Abortion doctor, you can't do what you do unless your heart is filthy, wicked, and corrupt and devises wicked imaginations on a daily basis. The only way you could even be a part of this industry, this money-making, profiteering industry, is if you have a heart that devises wicked imaginations. You are like that crowd in Hollywood that puts all these films out which glorify violence and murder and horror, you have a heart that daily devises wickedness. Such is the only explanation for why you can be a part of something like this and sleep at night.

Mother, if you can walk in here with your nose in the air and no conscience and no remorse about what you're going to do to your baby, you've got a heart that devises wicked imaginations. And you see, the murder that takes place in this building: It’s not second-degree murder. It's not murder committed in an instance of temper flaring or in an instance of anger. This is premeditated murder. In God’s court, this is first-degree murder. You have a heart that devised and planned what takes place here today. It is premeditated murder, MURDER ONE in God's court.

A proud look, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked imaginations, FEET THAT BE SWIFT IN RUNNING TO MISCHIEF … The feet of the abortion doctor, the feet of the worker in the clinic, the feet of those that promote abortion in this country, the lobbyists, they're so swift in running to mischief. Again, it's not about women, it's not about their health. It's not about choice. We know the dirty, little truth. It’s about the industry. It's about aborting and killing as many babies as we can. It's all part of the science of the globalist eugenicists who want to control world populations, who want to exert authority and control over everyone and every choice that people make. That is exactly what this is. It’s nothing but the vampire religion of the globalist eugenicists, and this abortion garbage is their evangelism. It’s their proselytization by the sword. It's is the proselyting of the globalist eugenicists who lust asnd salivate to control every aspect of every person's life. It is a vile a religion that hates God, that puts man in the place of God and that will give rise to that Man of Sin, that son of perdition, that Antichrist who will come, and to whom you will bow.

But alas, just as he will be cast alive into a lake of fire when Jesus Christ the King returns and sets up His Kingdom, so will this industry burn with His white-hot wrath. With God, justice is served. His justice is righteous. He is not like a judge who is bought with bribery. He is not like a judge who is corrupted by politics. He is not a judge who is a respecter of persons. He is righteous. In his court, you don't escape, and you can’t pay Him off.

A proud look, lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A FALSE WITNESS THAT SPEAKETH LIES … A lying tongue is with someone who tells lies for his own personal benefit. A false witness is one who lies about other people, who lies about someone else. I hear one of these doctors, or whoever owns this Treblinka, has some sort of “spiritual advisor” in there. What a joke! To put the words spiritual in the context of abortion, and to think that you're actually doing God's work … I mean that is like that False Prophet there in Revelation 13 who orders all people to worship the image of the beast. That's a false witness.

Hey, so-called spiritual advisor: I don't know if you are in there or not. Know this, YOU ARE WIIIIIIICKED. You don't know God. If you're telling these people they're doing God's work, then the god you serve is that great red dragon, that wicked serpent. You are a false witness that speaks his lies. You speak lies, not only about the God of the Bible, but also about the people out here who are out here trying to help these women. You speak lies about these godly ladies out here who want to help these mothers and who are willing to adopt these unborn children at no cost. You speak lies about everyone you hate. God hates that.

Now, for the last one here in Proverbs 6: God hates HE THAT SOWETH DISCORD AMONG BRETHREN. All this industry does is so discord amongst families. Discord in families, that's wicked! Discord in communities. Discord in a nation. Wicked as hell

These six things, yes, seven are in abomination in the eyes of God. And, you can consider yourself warned here today. Although prior to today, I'm convinced you have been warned many times. Yet alas, you are just like those wicked men of Sodom. You put your fingers in your ears and you glorify sin while the righteous are vexed day-to-day with this wickedness. Even so, come Lord Jesus!

God will judge the wicked. He that justifies the wicked and condemns the just, even they are an abomination to God.

“He that justifieth the wicked, and he that condemneth the just, even they both are abomination to the LORD” (Proverbs 17:15).

That means the people of this community, the people of this country who justify the wicked like you and your industry, while at the same time condemning what is righteous and holy, condemning the Bible, kicking prayer out of our schools, uplifting things that God hates, like homosexuality, all of these are in big trouble with the Lord. And yes, homosexuality is a sin. Abortion is a sin. And, sin leads to death.

I don't preach these things because I hate you. I don't hate you. I hate what you're doing in there, but I don't hate you. If I hated you, I’d just sit back like Jonah on that hilltop outside of Nineveh and wait for God to destroy you, hoping God would destroy you.

That fact is, I understand that the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ which was shown in my life, a grace that I didn't deserve and yet is also available to the vilest of offenders. So, while there is breath in your body, there remains hope for you. Turn from your sin; repent of this wickedness. Mother, repent of the choice you are making if you haven't yet followed through with it. It's not too late to turn around and walk out that door. You are not bound by any law or any statute to stay inside that building. Those people inside that building are not your authority. They hold no legal authority over you. You are not bound by any law. Have some guts! Stand up. Do the right thing. Walk out that door, and God will honor it. There are people out here who will help you. There are people out here who will provide you a place to stay if you need it. There are people out here who will adopt your child at no cost to you and raise them in a godly home. These folks out here will adopt your baby. We love children.

It’s very sad. In this world, there are so many children, so many orphans who need to be adopted, but there is so much red tape in every country. Families who want to adopt them and raise them cannot do it. And you people working inside that clinic, you wicked people don't want these babies to be adopted. You want them to be murdered because you are monsters of iniquity. You are monsters of iniquity, and you feed off the bloodshed of innocent people. That is what you love. You are no different than Dr. Mingele and the Nazi SS who put the Jewish people into the gas chambers and performed medical experiments on them. You are no different than them. In fact, you are more damnable because you ought to know better, and you do it to your own people, your own posterity. History ought to have taught you better. Even sadder, this industry is not just profiteering; it's not just money-making; tt's a racist industry. This industry is so very racist. It is clearly seen in the disproportionate percentage of African American women who are convinced and pressured to murder the children. If you go back and look at the people who were instrumental in starting the abortion industry in this country, you'll find them to be racists of the highest order. Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, openly boasted about abortion being the key to ridding American society of the “Negro population.” Now friends, that's wicked, that's disgusting. And it again proves what I said earlier: None of this is science or medical care. It is a vile religion of globalist eugenicists who lust o control every aspect of your lives. It's a false religion with Lucifer as its god, with the coming Antichrist as its king, with the False Prophet as its guru, and with the wicked hordes and minions of all that is worldly … parading their sins and their crimes before society, and numbing that society to the evil taking place.

So what's happening here is that babies are being murdered, and really, the answer is not protesting. I'm not a protester. I'm a preacher. That's why I came out here to tell you to repent and be born again. Now mother, if you decide to walk out that door and save your baby, then praise God. It is a good and noble choice to make. But, if you opt to save your baby and then just go on and continue living your life somewhere … maybe you will come back here tomorrow, or maybe you will just live your life devoid of God and live for yourself … the fact that you save your baby doesn't credit you anything. You have already committed murder in your heart if you have ever hated someone without cause. That is why you need a Messiah. That is why you need Jesus Christ. I'm not out here as a protester to preach morality to you today I am out here with this microphone as a preacher of the Gospel, to say unto you: Flee the wrath to come. Fall at the feet of Jesus Christ that you might have life. It doesn't matter what you've done. It doesn't matter what you have devised in your heart. If you will humble yourself before the LORD today, drawing nigh to Him, turning your back on the sin you have contemplated in your heart, crying out to Him, He can forgive you. He can wash you and make you clean, for the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ on that cruel Roman cross can wash clean even the vilest of offenders.

Therein lies the great paradox of the Gospel, my friends. The great paradox is that in eternity, there will be mass murderers, there will be those who have engaged in genocide, there will be those who have committed the most heinous of crimes; and yet they were brought to a place of humility, they were brought to a place of repentance, casting all their faith upon the Lord Jesus Christ. And they, too, will rule and reign with the Messiah for all eternity. Then, there are going to be the little women, the little ladies who went to church every Sunday. There will be the humanitarians and the philanthropists who thought they were serving mankind. Many such will split the gates of Hell wide open because their god was their own belly, because their god was the god of this world. They played the religion game and lost.

What amazes me is that so many people that work in these clinics. I don't even like to call them clinics. They are extermination camps. So many people work in places like this who would claim to be Christians and who go to church on Sunday as if they haven't done anything wrong. That is disgusting! So no, I'm not on here to tickle your ego today. I'm out here as a preacher, not a protester, to call you to repentance.

Turn from this wicked stain on our nation! There are people out here who will help you. We are not just saying these things to condemn. We are not condemning you anyway. God has condemned this industry already when He said “Thou shalt not kill,” and that is written upon your conscience the very day you were born. No, we are out here warning you as those who love little children and those who truly love you, not as the world loves, but love as it is in truth. True love bids a warning doom to children who play in the freeway. Therefore, I bid you a warning doom because I love you.

Come out and be saved! Come out from among them, saith the Lord, and be ye separate. And I, He says, will make you clean. Come out. Repent. Believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ who was crucified according to the Scriptures, who was buried, and who rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.

But alas, if you will not hear, if you will not listen, know that God's judgment cometh. Teddy Roosevelt, one of our famous presidents, said, “No prosperity and no glory can save a nation that is rotten at heart.” This wicked industry here in America is proof-positive that our country, our nation, is ROTTEN AT HEART. No glory, no economy, no president, no political party, no congressional approval, no homosexual marriage, no abortion clinic, none of this, can fix a nation that is rotten at heart. What America needs is a purging, and trust me, that purging comes when King Jesus one day puts His foot back down on that Mount of Olives and reigns and rules over the whole world from Jerusalem. This wicked United States of America will fall and in that day, and where will you turn? Where were you run? Come to Christ while there is life. Come to the Messiah while three is hope. Come to Christ and be saved.

I hate what is going on in that building, and I'm going to preach with hellfire and brimstone. That is exactly what this country needs—hellfire and brimstone preaching, warning the wicked of the wrath to come, driving them to Christ. I'm going to warn you. I'm not going to mince words. If you will come out here, I'm going to love you enough to take you aside, show you in the Scriptures. I'm not going to kill you. I'm not going to beat you. That is what manmade religion does. Manmade religion, going all the way back to Cain, it’s father, has always been about, killing, war, and fighting. No, I'll take you aside and show you what the Scriptures say. I'll show you how you can be born again. I'll help you. We will help you. We will help you have that baby, provide for what you need. We will make sacrifices for you. Those people inside that building, mother, they don't care about you. As soon as you leave here, after you have that abortion and go back home, after you have all the emotional trauma distress that comes … do you think you can just walk back into this clinic and get help? No, they are gonna say: “Get out of here. You made your choice. You can’t blame us for your problems. Go on, get!”All I can say is repent and believe the Gospel. That is your only hope. It is your only escape from the wrath to come. If you refuse, even so, come quickly, Lord Jesus.

Several days after a major earthquake that rocked Sikkim brought some death to Kathmandu, this message was preached to a crowd of more than a hundred in the open-air at Kathmandu's Ratna Park (September 23, 2011). Sandwiched between some introductory and concluding remarks in the Nepali language, Jesse Boyd preaches in English while Bishnu Shrestha translates into Nepali. This message is a warning of coming judgment and a call to repentance in a nation overrun with Hindu and Buddhist idolatry. At the conclusion of this message, more than 500 Gospel tracts and 200 Scripture portions were distributed in a matter of minutes.

This message was preached atop a large boulder in the Tambesa ghetto on the outskirts of Johannesburg, South Africa (June 23, 2011). Taken from Daniel 4, this message is an outcry against corrupt government in southern Africa and the foolishness of putting trust in politicians.

After more than a year out of America on the foreign mission field, this sermon was preached at the Belle Chere street festival in Asheville, NC on July 27, 2012. If you pay attention to the crowd in the background, you will see how people in America respond to the love of God as manifested in Jesus Christ. I dare say that Nepalis, Indians, and Bangladeshi Muslims would never act like this. But, proceed with caution.
