Yoeri is an incredibly dedicated and talented performance coach. He is the performance coach for the Netherlands national basketball team as well as a performance coach for Amsterdam Ajax, one of the best soccer organizations in the world.
Yoeri took a unique route into the performance world with a formal education focused in business. His commitment to seeking growth and creating strong relationships has separated him from the pack and produced quick success and elevation in the field. You can tell how passionate Yoeri is about providing his athletes with the best possible training, and leaving no stone unturned on his journey to fulfilling his potential.

Joey Salgado and Josh Moreali are the owners of Progressive Motion Physiotherapy, a progressive health and wellness physiotherapy clinic that focuses on the chain of mind, body and spirit to build up all individuals.
Their journey began with a lot of unanswered questions about their purpose and callings. They had a passion to serve but didn’t know how they wanted to use it. Their passion to serve led to a partnership to help people of all ages and all backgrounds.
Their mission statement, Move Better, Live Happier pushes them each and everyday to live out their purpose. In this episode, we hear how both Joey and Josh navigated the murky waters of physiotherapy and how they wanted to be different, by treating different. We touch on the stigma that traditional PT brings and how Progressive Motion sets out to raise the bar each and everyday.

Dr. Ramsey Nijem is the current Director of Sport Performance for the University of Kansas Men's Basketball program, and Former Head Strength Coach of the Sacramento Kings. He holds a Doctorate of Science degree in Human and Sport Performance as well as Health Promotion and Wellness. Ramsey is one of the most intelligent, charismatic, and effective coaches we have ever been around, and his abilities as a coach are almost shadowed by his sincerity, humility, and passion for uplifting his community.
Ramsey tells us the story of his ascent as a coach and leader, all while pursuing a masters and doctorate. His story is a shining example of what you can do when you are laser focused on your goals, build quality relationships, are passionate about your craft, and have an entrepreneurial mindset.
Ramsey has been an incredible mentor for the entire staff at Hyperthrive Athletics, and we are extremely grateful to have someone like Ramsey in our circle.

Shane Wallen is the Head Major League Strength & Conditioning coach of the Chicago Cubs, a great leader and outstanding human!
Prior to getting hired by the Chicago Cubs, Shane was intern with the Cleveland Browns and an assistant strength coach with the San Francisco 49ers. While attending Oregon State University and interning with the strength and conditioning team, the head football coach invited him to walk on to the team and earned a roster spot.
Shane has battled adversity all his life and has learned to use it as fuel to continue to fight for his goals. He has an intense desire to succeed, is tenacious about going after what he want, and doesn’t take no for an answer!
Shane truly studies his craft, has surrounded himself with high level colleagues and mentors, and is a master at building relationships with athletes. He has a lot to offer in mindset and achieving big goals so take some notes!

Gabe Lemon is a former D1 athlete who started for 3 years as a Safety for the Aztecs at San Diego State University. In high school, Gabe was awarded High School All-County and named 2nd team All-State player. After graduating from SDSU, Gabe ventured into performance training. He is the founder and head coach at G6 Performance Training which specializes in speed development and strength & conditioning.
Gabe lemon is one of our good friends and someone we have an immense amount of respect for professionally. His high standards and passion are evident in both his coaching and creation of G6 Performance Training. He has built a brand and a community that values authenticity and ownership of our individual stories.
Gabe is not afraid to tell his story honestly, and his authenticity is a lesson within itself. Gabe and G6’s mission is to encourage community members to define themselves, not by label, but through action.

Dr. Joyce Mikal-Flynn is a nurse practitioner, a Doctor of education, a professor at CSU Sacramento in the school of nursing, an author and an expert in post traumatic growth.
In 1990 Joyce Mikal-Flynn survived a death event requiring 22 minutes of CPR to come back to life. After her experience and the proceeding recovery, she set out on a journey to research how individuals and communities uniquely use traumas and challenges to move beyond survival and become stronger, more resilient people. Dr. Mikal-Flynn has developed a unique system of recovery, Metahabillitation, to guide survivors toward post traumatic growth.

Brandon McDaniel is in his 12th year in professional baseball including the last two as the Director of Player Performance for the Los Angeles Dodgers. Before that he served 5 years as the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach for the Dodgers, 3 years as a Performance Specialist for EXOS working with the Department of Defense preparing soldiers to better handle their duties within the Army, and 3 years as a minor league strength coach with the Pittsburgh Pirates.
