Joining us for lunch tomorrow is our guest Sally Rootham, gardener and volunteer coordinator at Arkwright meadows Community Gardens and also owner of Stripey Beetroot, a successful catering company providing high quality, healthy food for training courses and corporate meetings. Sally was fed up with the beige bland food served at training courses and identified a gap in the market.
Sally has lifelong love of cooking freshly made, nutritious tasty food packed with vitamins to feed the mind and body – far more conducive to productivity than a manky sausage roll! Sally has combined her love of cooking and gardening and created a work life that satisfies her soul!
Now Sally also does some catering for Nottingham Trent University, which brings us very neatly to the subject of food security in our student population. Find out about what we discovered at a conference we presented at earlier this week – there are some shocking statistics!
