Controlling and timid! These are the words that may come to mind when you hear; alpha female and beta male, respectively. But love, sometimes, is not a respecter of labels. After all, it is often said that the opposite attracts. Find out in today's episode. Don't miss it!
Stories. Whether consciously or unconsciously, we tell stories every day of our lives. Bringing it down to our respective Countries, whatever good and ills we experience has been and will continue to be molded by stories...either the one we tell ourselves or the one we choose to believe. Someone told a story that today's terrorists believed and became terrorists. Someone told a story, that an ex-con still had a chance to become a President, he believed that story and became the 12th President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. What causes our unhappiness, anger, hatred, disunity, and many other problems we face in our lives? Many times it is the stories we tell ourselves and pass down to our generation. These stories can be true, false, exaggerated, or undermined; whatever form it takes, we will find out how the stories we tell impact our lives as individuals and as a Nation. With the recent unsettling happenings in our respective Nations (with Nigeria as a peculiar case study), you do not want to miss this podcast.
Bald, bleached skin, Albino, barren, fat, single, lazy, snub, useless, thin, prideful, etc. Isn't it easy to label people; especially negatively and when we want to appear better than them? But do you really know the person or has your label on them stalled you from getting to know them better?
Here is the other side of the coin: if you are asked who you are, what would you say and how would you start? If your answer starts with your occupation ( that is what you do, by the way), or what you have or have achieved, then you need to tune in to tomorrow's podcast. What is the thin line between our identity and the labels on us? How do labels limit our growth and why do we need to distinguish the thin line between the latter and our identity? Find out in today's podcast. Don't miss it!
THIS IS NOT THE STORY OF HOW THOMAS EDISON FAILED 999 TIMES! WE DO NOT NEED TO CONSIDER THE FAILURE OF OUR ANCESTORS. LET'S TALK ABOUT THE ONE YOU ARE DEALING WITH AT THE MOMENT. Walking on the thin line between failure and defeat can be very confusing because we get to mix up both concepts. A failed marriage failed career, failed exams, failed life; are reasons we tell ourselves; ''that's about it for me''. But the question begging to be answered is; is failure rectifiable or have we sentenced ourselves to the dungeon of defeat in the name of failure? Is failure the actual culprit for giving up or are we looking for a dog to give a bad name?
