As men we hate to have repeating difficult things over and over. Things that are difficult in life, we just want to do them one time and be finished; one and done!  

As many things in life go, the "One and Done" mindset really doesn't prove to be very successful in life.  Things that are important to us will always have a level of building or maintenance required.  Whether it is getting in shape and then staying in shape, or getting married and staying married.  These items take constant work whether we like it or not.  

In this show, Kyle and Hutch take on the Strong Dads that would love to take the easy way out and say they "did" something.  We need more than what you did.  We need you to be doing.  Your family needs you to be doing.  Your faith needs you to be doing.  Anything that matters in life needs you to be doing.  

We must understand that we must live today and not rest on what we did yesterday.  1 Peter 5:8      Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.  Satan does not sleep.  Everyday he makes credible attempts to derail you from the life God has for you.  We can not rest on what we did, we must keep doing.  

This is analogous to God telling Moses that the Israelites should only gather enough manna for the day.  And, like all typical humans, they begin to get the idea that if they stockpiled the manna, the next day they could rest.  "Not so fast", says the Lord.  He gives us what we need to get through the day, but we must go to him every day for what we need to get through that day.  

No more "One and Done" thinking.  We must humble ourselves daily to get nourished by God.
