STRONG DADS!

In this episode of Strong Dads, Andy Dalton sits down with Jack Phillips to have an honest conversation about Ephesians 6:4:

Andy and Jack come from two very different stages of fatherhood—Andy is raising young children, while Jack has adult children and grandchildren. Together, they share real stories, mistakes, lessons learned, and practical encouragement for dads who want to raise their children in a way that honors Christ.

In this episode, we talk about:

• What it actually means to provoke our children to anger
• Why our children need both structure and encouragement
• Learning to recognize when we need to step away and cool down
• The power of speaking life over our children
• Why our kids often watch what we do more than they listen to what we say
• Being intentional with our time and slowing down enough to truly connect
• How dads can model what it looks like to follow Jesus
• The importance of having other godly men speak into our children's lives
• Why we don't need to be perfect fathers—we need to be fathers who are willing to pursue Christ and keep growing

Most importantly, this conversation is a reminder that fatherhood isn't about getting everything right. It's about pursuing Christ, pursuing our children, admitting when we fall short, and continually becoming the fathers God has called us to be.

“Have I spoken love and encouragement to my kids? Have I spent intentional time praying over them? Am I affirming who God created them to be? And am I teaching my kids about God by the way that I live?”
