What happens when a global pandemic wipes out 100% of your brick and mortar business....?
You start a podcast of course...
I started my business, Kadalyst Wellness and Physical Therapy, in April of 2019. Starting a business is tough. There were a bunch of times, especially in the first 6 months where I was on the verge of quitting. I wasn't growing as fast as I thought I should and things were just looking a little iffy...
Then, January 2020 happened. I got busy. By the first week of March I was seeing 33 patient hours per week and was finally able to pay the bills and pay off a substantial amount of debt.
But, as luck would have it, a global pandemic hits and I go from 33 patient hours per week, to a measley 2-3 hours online with telehealth. As i'm writing this I fully expect to make it through this, but, I don't know how the brick and mortar business will fare if the shelter-in-place and various quarantines last for longer than a few weeks.
So... I started pushing hard into the online sphere. Telehealth, online strength training programming, online courses, facebook groups, podcasts, blogs, youtube videos. You name it, i'm probably doing it right now!
This is the first of many podcasts following my own progress and the progress of the guests i'll have on as we learn to navigate this strange time. And... if it all ends quickly... it'll just be another business, entrepreneurship, and lifestyle podcast ;). I've got some things to say...
I'd love to hear what you think about this new venture AND what you're planning on doing to supplement income you may have lost during this pandemic!
