Today's episode, which is the first of a four-part block titled #STCBlackHistorySeries, gets into why exactly African American or Black History is so important to celebrate within America and abroad. What does it mean to be a Black in America? How exactly have we made progress since our initial capture from Africa? Are the Emancipation Proclamation and Juneteenth important symbols in terms of living in America? How have the Civil Rights Acts and relative legislation benefited the African American way of life? Are Blacks still a long way from receiving the respect they rightfully deserve?
This episode is also in honor of the former Los Angeles Lakers star, the late Kobe Bean Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna "GiGi," the Altobelli Family, the Chester family, and the Zobayan family. May they all rest with the angels as they have all transformed into one for their families.
