Lyndsay joins us to talk about U Matter Awareness and the amazing work they're doing within the Maitland community. U Matter provides peer support through community safe spaces and events grounded in lived experience. They help people connect with external services and professionals that may provide more specialised support if needed. 

U Matter a charity which was started and still today lead by Vicki Mendyck in memory of her husband and daughter is Maitland's Official Suicide Prevention Network. 

Jayden Wright is a proud Dunghutti man who is currently living on Wonnarua country. Jayden shares his journey from high school to completing a trade and then working for the government supporting our young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people. In this episode we discuss some of the challenges young people face and the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people.

Meet Zoe Khan! Zoe is a proud Gomeroi woman who lives on Worimi country. An incredible story to get where she is today, overcoming many obstacles and stereotypes along the way. Zoe is currently working full time and studying full time at university. Zoe also works with No Limit boxing and is an inspiring role model for our community.
