A look at the opening phrase of the Apostles' Creed: "I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth."

These narratives at the end of John teach us something of how we shall live once we come to trust in Jesus.

Fishers of Men Obey Jesus (vv. 1-14)

Shepherds Love Jesus and His People (vv. 15-19)

Disciples Follow Jesus (vv. 20-25)

Thomas may have had his doubts but when he came to believe he understood the implications; Jesus was his Lord and his God.

Do we believe?

Jesus can overcome our doubts.

Who is Mary Magdalene?  Why is she significant?  What does she teach us?  How might we follow her example?

This message seeks answers to those questions.

What did the disciples see?  Why did it cause them to believe?  What did it cause them to believe?

A look at what Christ endured because he loves us.

This message looks carefully at the setting and it's symbolism.

It is also a reminder of who was in control of the events of Jesus'' passion.  God, the Father, and God, the Son were.

The scene also begs the question:  Who are you in this story?  Who do you identify with?

Jesus in his prayer refers to six marks of the church:

Joy (v. 13)

Sanctification (v. 17, 19)

Truth (v. 17, 19)

Mission (v. 18)

Unity (vv. 11, 20-23)

Love (vv. 23-24)
