She explains how it was impossible to conform to an institution founded on exclusion and she expresses regret for attending. A long story but one that has to be told. Two hospitalizations and my traveling plans sabotaged. Tune in for the story of how I left Nashville, but ultimately had to return.  

Americans often see dance as something outside of themselves that has to be taught- opposed to something that is tied into their everyday living and culture. In today's American professional dance world, emotions are often policed and suppressed. The irony is that every time you move your body your brain is processing emotions! Oh and I forgot to mention- Italy is guilty of FASCISM.
