Yara Garcia sat down at the table and told the truth about ministry, loss, and what it takes to rebuild. She is a pastor, a mentor, a psychology major, and a facilitator certified in the mind renewal work of Dr. Caroline Leaf.

Yara married a pastor and served beside him. Seven years in, he was diagnosed with cancer. After he passed, she kept going because God told her to keep going. Then came a church split, two small children, clinical depression, and a diagnosis she had carried since childhood without a name for it.

She says the church split grieved her harder than the funeral.

In this conversation she talks about doing the hard work of healing instead of waiting for someone to do it for you. She talks about raising two kids alone while still carrying a call. She talks about the moment she learned that renewing the mind is not a phrase you repeat. It is work you do.

Then we turn toward business. Yara talks about what happens when a woman moves from serving for free to charging for her gift. Know your value. Set healthy boundaries. Just because you can give it does not mean you should. She says the people who received her work for free were the ones who never got results.

As a kid, I loved being on a stage. I had no idea God was already calling me. He was. And He placed something in you too, long before you had words for it.

In this episode I talk from my heart, right after our first Calling Activation seminar. I share three things. Your calling came first, set in you by God before any credential. Your story is how that calling reaches the woman who needs it. And story based visibility is how you show up as yourself, without overthinking, and draw the right people to you.

I also share what I watched happen in that room. As each woman unpacked her story, something lit up in her. The hard years started to make sense. God was not absent in any of it. He was writing a story, and bringing healing, so it could now reach someone else.

Your pain was never the end. It was the start of your message.
