They point to a verse here or there and state without equivocation that these passages teach a works-based salvation- But is that what the Bible actually teaches- Are people saved by any works they do or is salvation absolutely a free gift to those who believe in faith-

Paul hit the nail on the head in Romans 1 when he spoke of people who are darkened in their thinking or depraved. These individuals have absolutely no capacity to see or determine truth. In fact, they have come to love lies and lies are their comfort zone.----Darkened thinking or cerebral depravity stems from pride. It is an attempt to eliminate God from a person's thinking that results in thought death. A person who refuses to acknowledge God as Sovereign eventually sees themselves as sovereign. It is the sin of Satan carried forth by millions of people on this planet every day.----What is the Christian to do-

Today's -prophet- often comes with charisma, and some even come with signs and wonders. If so, should they be believed- Are signs and wonders a sign that God has placed His stamp on their ministries- Not according to numerous portions of Scripture.

Throughout Proverbs we see the Lord compare the righteous with the unrighteous. People are declared righteous by God because of their faith in Him. It has always been like that whether we see it in the Old or New Testaments. Faith is required. Right actions tend to follow that.----But the world is filled with unrighteous people who lie, cheat, steal, and do whatever they can do to get ahead. It's all done for them and though they may appear to do -righteous- things at times, they are not righteous because they have never been declared righteous by God because they have failed to exercise faith in Him.----Which are you - righteous or unrighteous-

Often when we speak of a closer walk with God, people tend to think in terms of the ethereal, complete with heightened emotions. Is this what it means to walk closer to God or is it something completely different-

It's enough to take your breath away, the level of hate and animosity evidenced in society today. It is directed at people who are conservative, who live their lives based on the biblical tenets of faith. We are the enemy and those opposed to us are no longer hiding their hatred by keeping their emotions in check. Is God taken by surprise- Is He somehow no longer ruling- David has some insightful answers to this problem in Psalm 63.

The Bible says a good deal about our salvation, but is it secure- Do authentic Christians enjoy eternal security or can salvation be lost- This doctrine is one that has been the subject of bitter disputes and ultimately, each Christian will need to decide for themselves what the Bible actually teaches on the subject. Dr. Fred broaches the subject from Paul's own words in Colossians 1.

Too often, aspects of Scripture that speaks about or to Israel is taken to reference the Church or Christians. What is God telling us in Ezekiel 37- What is HIS meaning-----Dr. Fred discusses a conversation he had with someone who uses aspects of Scripture like Ezekiel to prove God wants governments to help the poor.
