The Latter Prophets begins the third and final section in the multi-part series tracking the covenantal themes of land, descendants, and special relationship with God. This series provides an overview of 16 books in the Old Testament and provides a springboard to understanding the Latter Prophets.

This week we are doing a survey of the Latter Prophets, looking for the trifold covenant theme of land, descendants, and special relationship with God.

Remember that the covenant theme we are developing in this study is land, descendants, and a special relationship with God. This trifold theme appears in all of the biblical covenants, and also provides an anchor for us to understand the entire Old Testament. We are applying that truth here specifically to the group of books entitled The Latter Prophets.

We are talking in this episode (and really in the entire series) about how to 'zoom out' from our daily lives to see the continuity and unity of the entire biblical narrative. The covenants provide a great way to see that unity and that overview of the thousands of years of God's story and our part in it.
