  • Rendering Unto God What Belongs to Almighty God. Behind Closed Doors Ministries LLC, Sunday Worship Service. March 19, 2023.

The Holy Spirit blessed today's Sermon through Mr. Desmond Mohammed.

Matthew, Chapter 22, is our Sermon topic today.

Sometimes when someone asks a question, it isn't meant to avoid answering. We must be prepared to preach in and out of season (2 Timothy 4:2). Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ knew that the Pharisees and Sadducees were up to no good and desired to "entrap" him. Yet, our Lord and Savior, Jesus The Christ, answered their questions.

In life, as we conduct God Almighty's business, we will be questioned. Some of us will be attacked, ridiculed, and misunderstood. Nonetheless, God Almighty has ordained His Work through us.

There is no change like the correct change ordained by Almighty God.

Supporting Scriptures are Luke 17:1-3; Psalm 23:1-6; Proverbs 13:24; Exodus 4:14; Revelation 11:1; and Ephesians 6:4.

  • The Conversation With Christ. Behind Closed Doors Ministries. Friday night's Bible Study.

There is no love, kindness, or conversation on earth that compares to our relationship with God and our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

In tonight's Bible study, we examine John chapter 16 and Revelation chapter 21.

Supporting scriptures: Ephesians 2:1-5; John 14:15-18; and 1 Corinthians 12:1-12.

    John

John of Patmos is the name given to the author of the Book of Revelation (Apocalypse of John) in the New Testament. According to the text, the author, who gives his name as "John," was living in exile on the Greek island of Patmos. He writes to the seven Christian churches in Asia to warn them of various challenges and temptations that confront them, which have been revealed to him in a vision. He then relates several additional powerful visions concerning the Last Days and the Second Coming of Christ.

The Prophet, the Seer, and the Reveler.

    "A prophet is a teacher."

"A seer is one who sees with spiritual eyes."

"A revelator makes known, with the Lord’s help, something before unknown. It may be new or forgotten truth, or a new or forgotten application of known truth to man’s need. Always, the revelator deals with truth, certain truth (D. & C: 100:11) and always it comes with the divine stamp of approval."

    What is an Apostle?

"Apostle, (from Greek apostolos, “person sent”), any of the 12 disciples chosen by Jesus Christ. The term is sometimes also applied to others, especially Paul, who was converted to Christianity a few years after Jesus’ death. In Luke 6:13 it is stated that Jesus chose 12 from his disciples “whom he named apostles,” and in Mark 6:30 the Twelve are called Apostles when mention is made of their return from the mission of preaching and healing on which Jesus had sent them. The full list of the Twelve is given with some variation in Mark 3, Matthew 10, and Luke 6 as: Peter and Andrew, the sons of John (John 21:15); James and John, the sons of Zebedee; ; Philip; Bartholomew; Matthew; Thomas; James, the son of Alphaeus; Jude, or Thaddaeus, the son of James; Simon the Cananaean, or the Zealot; and Judas Iscariot."

  • In Our Grief, The Lord Bestows His Compassion. Behind Closed Doors Ministries, March 3, 2023, Bible Study.

Praise be to Almighty God, and welcome to "Studying in the Word." I am Minister Michelle Carter-Douglass.

Many of us have endured the loss of a loved one. Some of us have wondered if we will see them again or what happens when we leave this earth through death. In tonight's Bible study, we take a closer look by studying the word and examining the story of Abraham's grief after losing his wife, Sarah. Also, we discuss supporting scriptures looking at grief and death.

The scripture lesson is from Genesis chapter 23.

    Supporting scriptures are Hebrews 9:12–15; Jeremiah 29:11; John 16:20–22; 1 Corinthians 15:55–57; 2 Corinthians 5:5–10; John 5:20–24; and Luke 23:37–45.

    Cave of Machpelah

At Hebron Abraham purchased the Cave of Machpelah (Hebrew: Meʿarat ha-Makhpelah) as a burial place for his wife, Sarah, from Ephron the Hittite (Genesis 23); this became a family sepulchre. According to tradition, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, with their wives Sarah, Rebekah, and Leah, were buried in the cave.
