So often, the moment when you want to give up the most, is actually the moment right before the breakthrough; right before the magic.
That moment of the most resistance gives way to pure, unaltered truth for you – pure results.
But you won’t get to see those results if you throw in the towel before you break through.
For most endeavors there is a limbo period – this awkward time where you are putting in the effort, SO MUCH EFFORT, but you aren’t yet seeing the results. You aren’t seeing the blooms from the flowers you’ve planted, in fact you don’t even see the buds yet.
This isn’t because your rewards aren’t coming, you aren’t enough, or you are “bad” at what you’re doing, it’s simply because you’re playing the game of delayed gratification.
Your results are coming, they’re on their way, but you first need to keep hanging on a little bit longer. Hold your vision in your mind. As you tend to that seemingly barren garden, hold the image of your beautiful, blooming flowers in your mind. Those flowers, they’re on their way, just keep going. Keep pushing. Keep trying.
Today, on the podcast, I’m talking all about the importance of perseverance and working for that long term vision, even when you can’t see the fruits of your labour yet. Check it out at the link in my bio, or on itunes.
