We take a deep dive into Canberra’s creative scene. From art, illustrations, murals to music, we interview some of Canberra’s most inspiring artistic talent.
We speak with street artist, muralist and illustrator Bjarni Wark, otherwise known as ‘Happy Decay’. Bjarni spent ten years adding splashes of colour and quirk to deteriorating walls and lacklustre public spaces around Canberra, before moving his practice along Australia’s south coast. We talk about his work, inspirations and experiences of being a Canberra-based visual artist.
You are able to view Bjarni’s artworks at: https://happydecay.com.au/
We also talk to Keo, a local producer and owner of Darling Street Studios. Earlier this year, Keo achieved his dream of building his very own creative studio! Darling Street is a brand new modular creative space in Mitchell ACT, specialising in music recording, music production, press photography, music video and digital content. A very interesting and insightful discussion about what Keo did to turn his dream into a reality and what he loves most about working with local talent.
