The family is  Creator-designed. Think of it. The family of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit downloaded the image of God into the man and woman, and the children who would come. Know that the family of God is diverse and powerful! The blended family (or any family!) can be the same. Stay aware and alert to experience your best family life. Live prepared and be proactive through a lifestyle of prayer. Communication with God and each other are key. There’s so much here for any style of family life. You have to manage your heart if you’re going to live your best life. Hold on to the promises.

Keep believing and bounce back from disappointment. Question: What do you feel God is on? Then stay on that thing no matter what. “Be robust to the noise.” What do they mean? Mercilessly drown out all that non-relevant noise around you. Amp up your life-signal.

Os Guinness says, “Calling is the truth that God calls us to himself so decisively that everything we are, everything we do, and everything we have is invested with a special devotion and dynamism lived out as a response to his summons and service.” (Os Guinness, The Call: Finding and Fulfilling the Central Purpose for Your Life)

We’re all called to change the world. Invited. God uses the “normal” each day in extra-normal ways. Open the invitation.

A high value with Father God is adoption. Dave and Morgan live in what the New Testament calls the “spirit of adoption.” They left the United States and moved to Uganda to adopt their daughter and stayed for 7 years, creating a business which empowered women and their families. This will take us a long way: as we help others to find their lives, we find our best life. It’s a key to living well. Are we ready for radical risk-taking? Can we be honest with the New Testament Gospels? Jesus asks us to take radical risks. At times he pushes us to move with unreasonable speed and faith. Yes, it feels risky. But it’s the only way we can journey with him and get into our best seasons. The real risk is living stuck. Will we embrace the “chaordic” state (both chaos and order), accepting creative chaos? Expect a fresh order and design to surface. Get intentionally naive. Like a child. Come out of the world of big-adult skepticism. It’s going to get fun again!

Entrepreneur and international author, John Beckett, is unashamedly focused on the life that takes place after this one. He’s not afraid or ashamed to point to the Ultimate Entrepreneur, Jesus. He’s quick to point out that we can see entrepreneurial fingerprints all through the Bible.  Abraham was an entrepreneur, one who went out and created new things as God led him. In Jesus, deep down, we are all entrepreneurial in nature. It is in our very DNA and we should get comfortable embracing it and living in it!

What needs to start in your life? If we’re honest, throughout our lives, we are destined to start new things. But honesty also tells us that it will take a lot of hard work to create what needs to be created. No price is too high. Frankly, the price is way too high to not do these things. So keep learning and growing. Unless you’re called to singleness, cultivate a quality marriage in your lifetime. It’s a key to so much. Stay courageous. It’s contagious! And never, ever under-appreciate God’s constant love for you … It’s the source of identity, security, and living with courage!

You have to cultivate it. And you have to guard it. There’s an Enemy who wants to neutralize your life. But there’s a Father whose DNA you carry. Father God has an excellent work ethic. So should we. You can work it! Yes, work is good and healthy. Never stop growing personally. And never stop growing everything within your life-reach. This is John’s Life-Message. We’re hearing it!

We all  have “inflection points” in our lives … opportunities to enter a new season of increased significance and influence. After graduating from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (M.I.T.) and starting his career in the aerospace industry, the Grand Design for John Beckett led him back to the company his father founded.

Tough times opened doors for increase and influence. John has led the family-owned and run R.W. Beckett Corp. to a worldwide footprint. His life and work are time-tested.

 

Turning Inward:

A businessman and author, John Beckett came to a place of breakthrough early in his career. He realized that all work can potentially be God’s work as we align ourselves with his higher purposes. Whatever we do, we can do it with all of our heart for the glory and story of God (Colossians 3:23).

Ideas are powerful. They shape everything. John came to know that there really isn’t a separation between “higher work” and “lower work.” A Jesus-centered Worldview for our lives shouldn’t be segregated into different pieces. It’s actually integrated. Holistic!

Often, we’re under the influence of old, dusty ideas. We can become unknowingly blind and unaware. It can pay out nicely when we take time to challenge those old ideas. And it really pays to know what Scripture actually says about God’s Grand Design for our lives.

Be transformed! It all really starts with our thoughts. We must give ourselves permission to allow God to dream about what you do … through you! As you fight to seek out a closer relationship with Him you just might be surprised to find the King may be intertwining his thoughts with your own.

It’s a superior design for you. Without limits!
