If you lead a team, a division, or an organisation, you know that one of the essential elements of your definition of success is knowing where you stand relative to your goals. What are the 'rules of the game' you are playing in? 

And what does it it means to win in that game?

If a team is to accomplish its goals, it must know where it stands agains what the definition of success is.  This is the only way your team members can strive to continuously improve themselves and their situation. 

The scoreboard dictates how the game needs to be played and then the team will plan  the way they want to play to win in the game. 

As we discussed in episode #1, engagement increases when each person in the team understands their role and responsibility against the bigger team's goals, and how, fulfilling both, helps the team advance towards its ultimate aim.
