The mission of Christ to earth was most momentous. The deliverance of a country from famine, of a nation from the horrors of war, would be a mighty achievement. But these are trifles compared with the great Salvation which Christ came to procure.

Deliverance is God’s plan

This way of deliverance is a privilege of every child of God. Our father is the Almighty God, the creator of all things.

Principalities and powers are subject to the Almighty God. This way of deliverance is a privilege of every child of God.

Deliverance is God’s plan. Deliverance is Who God is, not just what God does.

In the Old Testament, He promised Jeremiah that He would deliver him personally, “…I will deliver thee, and thou shalt not fall by the sword, but thy life shall be for a prey unto thee: because thou hast put thy trust in Me saith the LORD” –Jeremiah 39:18. That’s all God promises His children.

Letting go of grudges and bitterness can make way for improved health and peace of mind.

God deliver US out of our greatest challenges to take us to the place He has prepared for us. God promises He will deliver us. Call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. (Psalm 50:15 NKJV) Deliverance is one tool given to the church to assist us in joining with Christ to "proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." (Luke 4:18-19 NIV

This deliverance is called the 'GOSPEL” in the New Testament. Salvation is a gift of grace and is received by believing the gospel. The gospel, when believed, “is the power of God to Salvation for every one who believes.” (Romans 1:16); salvation embraces deliverance, restoration, preservation, and glorification.

Moses, Joshua, Gideon, Nehemiah, and others were deliverers of their people; they delivered them from the outward consequences of sin. Jesus delivered His people from the power of sin.
