I have a question: While you’re waiting for your “ship to come in,” what are you doing in the meantime? Are you making the most of your time of “wait” and preparing for when the break comes? Someone once told me that, “Downtime is prep time.” So why not prepare while waiting?

There are lessons in life that we have to learn in order for us to be successful. Each lesson is conducive to our purpose and helps us.

Adversities are a sure thing in this life. But they have no bearing on your purpose being fulfilled, neither can they stop your destiny. What was purposed that lies within you is waiting on you to pursue making it happen, and only you can make it happen.

We must continue to hold on because what we are striving and believing for is on the way. If we give up hope now, we’ll miss out on one of the greatest triumphs of our lives. We must find it within ourselves to encourage ourselves and others and know that what we need and desire is coming.

Determine in your mind today that you will no longer allow fear to keep you in a vise that will not only stifle you, but keep you from your destiny. No one can stop you but YOU. Fear only does what you allow it to do. You have control and power over fear, not the other way around. Step out now.

Don’t give up. Don’t quit. You could very well be on the brink of your next breakthrough. Your purpose and destiny await you to make it through whatever it is you are facing right this second. If you’re reading this, you’re not dead yet! And while you still have breath in your body, keep pushing forward until you reach that breakthrough. You answer is within a few more steps ahead. Please, don’t give up.

The level of success that you achieve and the degree of greatness that you experience in your life will depend on how much of a price you are willing to pay. Are you willing to sacrifice? Are you willing to spend the time, long or short hours? Do you have the mental capacity to move forward on your hopes and dreams, or will you sit back and watch life pass you by?

Blog for the Week: Making The Most of Where You Are

In changing our mindset and how we view the situation that we’re in, we can then begin to appreciate and rest in the fact that situations can and will eventually change. In the meantime, we must learn to make the most of the situation. It can very well determine how long that situation in your life will last.

We have to begin to learn to embrace the pain that comes into our lives and see it for what it really is. And it’s the pain that comes from being a part of our intended purpose that we must focus on. Like feeling the burn in a good workout, know that the pain is an indicator that you are moving towards success and greatness.

Realize that the circumstances you face have you in a position that is uncomfortable, but it is necessary for your making. Just like that diamond that undergoes thousands of pounds of pressure to get the result of the luxurious gem we so highly value, so must we go through the process to be forged into something greater.
