Melanie talks about her journey to being an Olympic Gold Medalist and a World Record Holder and what it took to get there, the sacrifices she had to make growing up as a kid, and the lessons she has learned from swimming.  

Melanie started swimming at 3 years old and by the time she was coming out of high school in 1987, she posted the fastest time in the nation in the 100yd freestyle at 50.6 seconds. She attended and Swam at the University of Virginia during college and qualified for the Olympics where she won and became an Olympic Gold Medalist in the Women’s 4x100m Freestyle Relay in 1996 for Team USA. And to top that all off she is the current Swimming World Record Holder from 2015 in the Women’s 45-49 year old age group 100m Freestyle Event.  

Melanie was also the first female swimmer sponsored by NIKE, the first ever TIMEX Fitness Director and the first Ironman athlete sponsored by a rock band – Cheap Trick. She also was a model featured in numerous magazines including Marie Claire, Vogue, Swimming World, Triathlete, as well as Nike catalogs.

Rhonda has one of the most inspiring stories and is one of the toughest people I've ever met. Listen in as Rhonda explains her story of getting jumped near her house and nearly dying, dealing with all the mental and physical pain and trauma that came with that, and barely being able to walk, to finally playing at Worlds Championship Tournament only 6 weeks later and winning her first Worlds title, being named the #1 Racquetball player in the world. 

Rhonda is the most decorated Racquetball player and has been ranked the #1 Racquetball player in the world from 2005-2008 and 2010-2011! She has been World Champion in Women's Singles twice. She has 12 National Single Titles and has 3 National Doubles Titles. Rhonda has been Pan American Champion 6 times, as well as US Open champion 4 times.

Alex Landry is a professional and All Star dancer. She danced for the Luvabulls which for those of you who don’t know, Luvabulls is the Chicago Bulls Basketball Team’s, Dance Team that comes out during half time. She moved to New York and she also Danced for the New York Knicks this past year.   

Alex's story is a perfect example of “it’s who you know that matters", where she went from dancing with the Professional Dance Team called the Luvabulls, and through networking was able to move to New York and get one of her dream opportunities to dance for another incredible Professional Dance Team in downtown New York. She breaks down the lessons she's learned through dancing, the challenges she's faced, how she deals with the pressure and anxiety, and advice she would give to younger dancers wanting to make a career out of it.
