Bricia missed the food, the people, and the communities of her motherland. While attending school she worked at her family restaurant called Guelaguetza. However, there was a time where her father wanted to close the restaurant due to the recession. Knowing there was no other alternative, Bricia and her siblings decided to preserve the restaurant. Today Guelaguetza is a popular restaurant that continues to grow in Los Angeles due to its excellent service and food that reminds copious people about Mexico.

As a proud daughter of Mexican immigrants, Yarel knew that she had to take advantage of all the opportunities in the United States. She always went the extra mile to achieve her dreams both academically and professionally. Once Yarel decided that she wanted to be a journalist, she flew across the country and attended the University of Miami. Upon graduating, Yarel returned to Los Angeles where she was given the opportunity of her life to host her own show called Reventon. This opportunity led her to different routes throughout her career that she moved back to Miami to work for Telemundo. Little did she know that after years of working in Miami, she would return to the city where her heart belongs: Los Angeles.
