This week’s episode starts a little differently.

Our community here in Northwest IN, has been dealing with the aftermath of the tornado and severe storms, and like so many people around us, we’ve been without power too. 🌪️⚡

So before anything else, we wanted to take a moment to talk about what’s happening around us, how crazy these last few days have been, and send some love to everyone dealing with damage, outages, cleanup, and everything else that comes with it. ❤️

This week started a little heavy… and somehow ended with a BIG Twist!

We kicked off the week on a sad note with Mare bartending a few funerals, so el mood was definitely down. Then came the quinceañeras, where things started picking back up… especially for Zermes, who apparently found himself a new DJ crush. 👀🤣

“Abuelita, soy tu nieto!” 😂

And then… FUSIC FEST happened.

What started as us just being excited to attend turned into one of the most surreal experiences we’ve had since starting Sueños & Reality. Algo que no hay como poner en palabras. A huge opportunity literally fell into our laps and, aunque Zermes choked a little 😂, somehow we pulled it together and made it through!

Because of that opportunity, somehow we went from two people with microphones who still don’t really know what we’re doing 😂 to interviewing Los Amigos de Michoacán… AND their moms! 🤣 We also got to talk with Los Ramones de Nuevo León que nos mandaron un saludo, received a special shoutout from La Auténtica Banda Jerez, and then somehow, SOMEHOW… ended up inside El Jerry’s tour bus. 😳🔥

Like… ¿EN QUÉ PEDO NOS METIMOS?!

Surreal doesn’t even begin to describe it. We were grateful, excited, nervous, scared, and trying to act like we belonged there the entire time. 😂

What a Sunday, defentivamente algo que no nos vamos a olvidar. What an experience. And what a reminder that sometimes you just have to say YES and figure the rest out as you go.

Episode 11: Summer Time Sadness ☀️😭 | we discuss Karol G, Fusic Fest & Is Summer Over?!

Is summer already over.. How is it July 31st? 😂 This week, we’re going through some serious withdrawals, no more World Cup, (we miss the min 3 games a day) no more Karol G, no more summer???

JK we still have a little bit of summer left in us, lol 🤭 Maybe a Cubs game in the future? We talk about everything we still want to squeeze in before summer officially ends, (& Mare dreads going back to real work) plus how we missed Pierogi Fest and, most importantly, the beer tent. Priorities, right? 🍺😂

But let’s talk about the real highlight: KAROL G! 💖🌴 🦜We were at the opening night of the tour at Soldier Field for, "Viajando por el Mundo"  and amazing doesn’t even begin to describe it. Carolina was an absolute QUEEN! 👑 From the production and her incredible performance to the beautiful Latina energy throughout the stadium, Mare was truly speechless. And the all-women mariachi?! Chills. The Latina love was REAL, and it was such a special experience.

Zermes definitely had an amazing time too ....maybe a little too amazing. 😂 That ratio had to be about 1,000 women for every one man. If a homie went fishing he definitely could’ve caught something! 🎣🤣

Finally, we’re getting ready for our second Fusic Fest, happening Friday, through Sunday, at Jeorse Park Beach in East Chicago. We can’t wait to see what DJ Speaks check him out at  https://www.instagram.com/djspeakss/?hl=en and make sure to follow and the whole team put together this year! This week, we’re getting ready for one of our favorite Hammond traditions: **Festival of the Lakes!** 🥳 10 years and counting lol We’re talking a little about the festival, the events coming up, and why we’re extra excited to see **Banda El Recodo** live! Because nothing says Hammond summer like música, food, rides, and a little bit of chaos. 😂

We also recap the baseball history we witnessed last Friday at the Sox stadium! And even though Mare says she hates it there… **JK!** 👀 We still had an amazing time, enjoyed the game, and got to witness something we’ll probably never forget.

Plus, we give a very special birthday shoutout to Tiny Ollie, who is officially turning the big 10!! 🎂🎉 Double digits, baby!

Episode 6 we are officially in full wedding mode! 💍😂

This week, we’re talking about a wedding we’re going to and how, honestly, we’ve been to so many weddings that at this point we can be considered honorary wedding consultants. 😂  From being guests, working weddings, and just having our own wedding this past March… we’ve seen it all, y claro que we have opinions respectfully… kinda. 😂

We talk about how Zermes and I sometimes see weddings completely differently, why a good timeline is KEY, and how getting closer to God has been such a meaningful part of our lives. We also take it back 10 years ago to how we almost didn’t get married because we couldn’t find a judge… and then fast forward to our church wedding where I almost left Zermes at the altar because I was running late. Full circle chaos. 😭

We also get into the real wedding advice: don’t give the mic to your tío unless you’re ready for a 45-minute speech, make sure your people know the plan, and appreciate the ones standing next to you through it all.

And of course, we had to give a huge shoutout to our bridesmaids and groomsmen. Without them, nada hubiera sido posible. We love them, appreciate them, and will forever be thankful for the way they showed up for us. 🤍
