Since we’re practicing social distancing now there’s more time to record (see: corona), aka this is an extra long episode. Join me as I go over some cool Black History Month moments that I got to experience this week. I give a mini review of D. Wade Life Unexpected (spoiler: it was amazing!), briefly talked about some upcoming Netflix projects, and try to expand on German lieder and Negro Spirituals. Quite the week!!

I decided to bring all of my thoughts on recent films into one episode! I start off with a brief review of Liberty in a Soup by Alexis Dudley: a beautiful documentary that tells the story of the Haitian revolution. Then I go into a rant about the DCU and Joker, ending the episode praising Birds of Prey for being the girl power comic adaptation that we’ve been waiting for! Once again I employ my dual stars/tears rating system to give you the people the reviews you’ve been waiting for. Outro song: Sway with Me by Saweetie ft. GALXARA from the Birds of Prey Soundtrack.

Honest to God, I’m so glad February is finally here! We start off with a moment of silence for Kobe, Gigi, and the other victims of the helicopter crash. We then delve into the new month very happy to leave January behind, and discuss Super Bowl LIV-mania here in Miami. Of course the music (1st of tha Month, Crossroads by Bone-Thugz-N-Harmony) is not owned by me.
