Not being aware of your intentions and not suspecting foul play (“vagalerunga leka”), I have been ceaselessly reciting(“cheppukonti”)  the greatness of your virtuous attributes (“sugunamule”) fondly hoping that you will appear before me. I am ignorant of pious acts like bathing (“snanaadi”) in holy rivers, giving charity, reciting the Vedas (“vedadhyaya”) - o lord of Wealth (“srinaayaka”)! I crave your pardon (“kshyamiyinchumu”) and seek your grace..
