On 14 November 2024, the EU Parliament approved the EU's proposal to delay the implementation of the EU Deforestation Regulation by one year, as well as a package of amendments to the Regulation.

Forced labour is often described as a hidden risk, being almost impossible to find or to predict where it might occur. James explores why it’s often difficult for companies to gain a full view of their supply chains, and highlights some of the techniques that can be employed to go beyond a traditional audit-based approach to expose the situations in which forced labour is occurring.
