Experiencing psychosomatic symptoms can make one feel powerless, especially if they become chronic or disrupt one's life. If someone is in a place where their symptoms are making it hard to function — for example, experiencing chronic pain or chronic digestive issues — and may feel desperate to feel better. May also feel upset if healthcare professionals seem dismissive of their symptoms because they are not indicative of a physically diagnosable medical condition. In such cases don't be disheartened, or despair, talk to the mind in silence. Self talking and self consoling can heal a few minor symptoms because the answers to many questions are hidden within us.
