Publisher's Summary:
The Book of Joy by the Dalai Lama, Desmond Tutu, and Douglas Abrams is a nonfiction meditation on enduring joy. It focuses on ways to cultivate joy in the face of widespread human suffering on both personal and collective levels. On the occasion of the Dalai Lama's 80th birthday in 2015, the Dalai Lama and Tutu agreed to meet in Dharamsala, India, where the Dalai Lama has lived in exile for more than five decades. There, they convened a dialogue on joy, which they describe as the fundamental nature of all human beings. The exchange was filmed and attended by Mpho Tutu, Tutu's daughter, and Thupten Jinpa, the Dalai Lama's translator. The purpose of presenting this days-long conversation in book format was to offer these sentiments as a gift with the hope that others will be inspired to take the teachings of Tutu and the Dalai Lama to heart.
Please note: this is a summary, analysis and review of the book and not the original book.

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN "SPIRITUAL ADVICE" FROM THE DALAI LAMA & DESMOND TUTU?
This is an overview of the actual âThe Book of Joy.â Kind of like an abbreviated âCliff's Notesâ for the FULL book. It provides a potential reader enough information regarding the originalâs content to determine if we want to invest the money and time to actually purchase and read the entire printed copy or E-version. If you are looking for wisdom & philosophy, this book offers a peek at a few thoughts by the Dalai Lama from a personal conference with Desmond Tutu, that took place in 2015 ... and was very "spiritual" in nature. At .99 cents, this overview provides a good service and is one of the chief reasons I have personally found âInstareadâ to be a valuable tool.

But this is not that book, it is a summary of "The Book of Joy." Instaread condenses and simplifies the interfaith book into 8 key points about how to find joy. These key takeaways are simple, to the point, and easy to read. I found myself being uplifted and inspired while reading this great review. Instaread simplifies "The Book of Joy" into concise messages about how to forgive, why change is important, and why we should rely on others. I highly recommend this review! I was given an advance copy.
Great summary
