This should be required reading.
I have taken a serious interest in calming down and becoming more relaxed and mindful due to having such a stressful, hectic, fast-paced life (don't we all)? At first I must admit that the whole topic was a bit off-putting as I never really thought that it could work, but after reading this book I am super convinced that it really does! The advice and tips in this book have really helped me to calm down and be less stressed, and get rid of my "racing" mind, which is such a huge benefit in daily life. I think this book should be required reading for anybody who needs help slowing down in this crazy, hectic world.
Inspiring for A Beginner Like Me
Because I was feeling under the weather, I was looking for books about enlightenment and meditation and came upon this book. I admit I was skeptical at first.
Zen: A Mindfulness Meditation book has detailed processes on how to do meditation which is very helpful. There are many books that are not for beginners but this one is different. It is beginner-friendly. Beginners in meditation such as me would be inspired by this book. This is inspiring for anyone who cares about his or her own health and sanity.
How Buddhists see and approach life fascinates me. Just imagine if all people practice mindfulness and meditation? The world would be a far better place to live in. If you want to experience real happiness, peace, and contentment in your life, you have to read this book. This book is now one of my favorites.
One of the best meditation books
I am a Christian, but I also appreciate some of the Buddhist practices such as meditation and their strong belief in the power of now â that is to become being mindful in everything we do. How to be present in the NOW â thatâs what really got me. Well, I never really did a research about Buddhism before and itâs just with this book that I came to know its origin. So this book talks about the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path which are the most important formulations of the Buddhist path. The book introduces an alternative way how to achieve spiritual enlightenment and cease suffering through this practice.
I actually welcome anything for the betterment of my spirituality and how to improve more in my perspective in life. Nonetheless, it doesnât matter whatever your religion is, you will never have to choose. Buddhism has no God to believe in or outside power to worship, so there should be no conflict. So everybodyâs welcome to read this book, and can learn from it as much as I did.
Great book that is highly recommended!
This past few days, I'm feeling stressed and I'm thinking lots of the time.
