I’ve just got some inspiration to share some of my thoughts in this episode.
Summer has always been my favorite time of the year. Back home, my friends and I never lacked for something fun to do, despite living in a small village. We were never bored. Whether we were fishing or swimming, we were lucky as kids to be so close to nature, able to fully enjoy those sunny days.
As children, we didn’t have much choice in the matter, but looking back now, I realize we weren’t any less happy—if anything, it was quite the opposite. Paradoxically, not having many “opportunities” or luxuries turned out to be the best way to appreciate what we already had. The simplest joy of being able to do whatever we wanted meant the world to us.
