Fun Read

Turns into summer sins...

great summer read!

This is one of the three stories in the Hot in the Hamptons series (each standalone but with linked characters). If you do plan to read them all, the timeline works best if this is the last story that you read, as it definitely is the finale and hints of this romance were present in the first two of the series.

I enjoyed this one quite a lot. Storme is a conflicted woman, set to enter an arranged marriage with a dear friend but one she isn't attracted to sexually. So her chemistry with Holden, a beach bum (she thinks) who pushes all her buttons is not something that she's looking for and indeed is something she tries to avoid. But when she speaks with her fiance and he gives her the green light to explore for the summer to decide if they really should get married, she takes Holden up on his summer fling offer. Their sex scenes are steamy, and their banter and the sparks that fly off each other were fun to read. I appreciated the way the whole cheating idea was gotten around such that the reader didn't need to feel guilty about enjoying the romance between Storme and Holden. It ends with an HEA for the couple in question after a rocky middle for them, and was a great summer romance. 4 stars.

Sexy Summer Read!

Having been to the Hamptons, this was a truly fun read for me! Storme is a rich girl with a heart and some heavy obligations. She plans on marrying her best friend Phillip at the end of the summer despite gnawing doubts. As an only child, she has the added pressure of taking over her family's vineyard to preserve their legacy, in turn saving Phillip's. All is going according to plan...until she meets Holden. Smart, cocky, and hot as hell. He's the kind of guy who pushes her buttons.
