Life is sure interesting in the MimiVerse today…

Ladies… have you ever had a man who takes the time to meticulously celebrate the most delicate parts of you?

I dated a man like that, once…

I found an old picture of him the other day.

And then had an instant flash of Us.. laughing, dancing, loving.. it was incredible!

Life after him was rough for a minute!

Then, one day…

I noticed that

The sun is dawning

Pigeons cooing

And life is going on…

But, I still Miss…

There’s a baby crying somewhere

A neighbor unlocking their door

And shadows getting longer…

While I still Miss… Him… Us… Love…

So… my ex- came over … I don't know where to start… the way he spoke to me… looked at me… touched me... knew me... instant recognition of selves.. That man came in this house…we just drank each other in… i was nervous… he was himself... we just were... the toreador and the bull in an elegant yet sinister dance to the finish… there was no winner… we merely survived.

Yeah.. life is certainly for the living!

OPERATION MIDNIGHT SUN is a 3-stage process where I just let go and lived the Now... I not only felt better.. But, I felt like myself.. I fully accepted Myself and to hell with anything less. As a result, I only meet quality men who adore and respect me. My challenge is not finding love and respect. My personal challenge has been to find a relationship that is a good fit for my personal and professional life.

Part 1 - Purge — Just let go of all the things that are not working for you.

Part 2 - Embrace — Stage two inspires you to let your desires be a matter of public knowledge. Tell those in your private circle that you are on a quest.

Part 3 - Bask — In the final stage of the Operation Enjoy the fruits of your labor and celebrate that new relationship.

Today we will delve into the first stage of Operation Midnight Sun...

1 - PURGE: Just let go of all the things that are not working for you. Ways of thinking; cultural norms and conventional wisdom; people who habitually drag you down; uncomfortable clothes and shoes.

a -Divest yourself of all baggage: Past trauma (therapy?); feelings of inadequacy; the need to habitually play the role of family fuck-up or the least valuable worker; being the Loner in High School.

b -Hangers on: If you are always the most interesting person in the room, go to a different room. It doesn’t help you to always be entertaining or constantly talk about yourself. There is value in reveling in other peoples’ life experiences.

c -Ill-will towards ex-lovers

d -Longing for what is not

e -Entitlement

BEING THANKFUL —

Hmmm.. what does it mean to give thanks? Really, actually to be thankful for what we have.. who we are.. where and how we live?

I was compelled to remember the I am Blessed and Highly favored, with my small Self.

A friend called and woke me up, and I answered the phone half asleep. The first thing he uttered was, “ How are you? I really miss you!”

I was missed by Someone.

While I was speaking to him and catching up on our respectful lives, another friend texted me: ‘Come out and be with me!”, she wrote.

Someone wanted the pleasure of My company.

While responding to the text with an enthusiastic, “Yes! I’m on my way!”, I received a photo from another friend. She looked radiant, and powerful, and beautiful. I thought, “she is all that and made time for Me.

Someone wanted to be seen by Me.

As I tamed my mane, freshened my face, and donned my Lovely, I was thankful that I had a phone to answer, that I was able to stand and walk, unassisted (there was a time I couldn’t), that I was able to eat enough to need to diet, and that somewhere in the World, someone was thinking of me fondly.

This Thanksgiving is my first time, Ever, alone in my life. I woke up troubled by that, and feeling bereft. However, Life had a different plan for my day, my heart, and my psyche.

Life is a dynamic endeavor to never be taken for granted.

So, this Thanksgiving as I sit, yet again, at the cafe, I am giving thanks to Life for allowing me time today to spend with friends in a garden, eating sweets and contemplating the mysteries of life.

I give thanks for the friend who cared enough to come to me and make sure I was ok.

I give thanks for the feeling of community and knowing that I belong. That somewhere in the world I am missed, seen, and wanted.

In the MimiVerse, the mundane no longer exists. Unpredictable natural events that look Random, actually aren’t, and a Butterflies' dance foretells a great day.

This fifth episode of SummerTales explores an age-old question: Are we with who we are with because we need somebody who is accessible, or because we need a Lover with whom to share emotional intimacy and physical delights?

Do we crave the Lover’s scent and flow… the taste of their kiss, the music of their laugh, the delicious wit they tease us with, their insatiable desire for Us… ?

Or are we settling for the ‘Somebodies’, low-hanging fruit usually selected as a convenience… not the best, but good enough for right now.

In my opinion, It comes down to this: Do we want Mr. Right, or Mr. Right-now?

Consciously choosing to pursue a Lover is for those of us who have grown accustomed to being desired for all that we are.

The one we choose to sigh with in the middle of the night; dance with at sunset; laugh with during a terrible movie; or cry with when feeling vulnerable.

In the end… Everybody needs somebody who Needs them.

The way We are together is like the crackle of Energy just before lightning strikes.

Anticipation of Us generates that ionic charge that moves Matter, and propels us towards inevitable submission into the Realm.

SummerTales from the Mimiverse, Vol. 1

... it has been a long, lonely journey and she is tired. as she trods on, she keeps an eye out for plants to replenish her pouch as well as a suitable place to camp for the night. she has the remains of this afternoons' meal (roasted tubers, the last strips of meat, and a few traveling cakes) and only needs a small fire to heat water for tea and a soothing compress.  as she spreads out her sleeping fur, she thinks "perhaps, i will meet some of my kind in the morning"...
