This week, Pastor Chuck takes us into Colossians 3, where Paul talks to the Church in Colossae very specifically about the kind of actions that a follower of Christ should do...and what they should not merely avoid, but "put to death."

The Apostle Paul wrote the letter to the church in Colossae from prison. Paul had not yet been to the Colossian church, but he called them holy, and children of God. He himself was in prison, but he he encouraged them to stay strong and to live out the gospel of Jesus Christ.

 

In the same way, we can rest in our identity in Christ--He has qualified us. And we can live out the gospel wherever we are.

King David is the author of a majority of the book of Psalms. In these poetic songs written to God, he praises God and gives beautiful depictions of His character and deeds. But he also cries out to God in anguish and heartbreak.

 

In Psalm 121, David looks go God as his source of refuge and help in times of trouble. This Psalm can be a guide for us in these days.

It's Easter Sunday! We are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ that gives life and hope to all. Gather with your families in your living rooms for a time of celebration, worship, prayer, and a powerful message about what the resurrection means for us!

At Jesus' triumphal entry in Jerusalem, the people were looking for a King, but what they didn't know they needed was a Savior. Jesus became both.

Just a couple weeks into a global pandemic, people have lost jobs, lost money in the stock market, and lost faith in their governments. But if we focus on the problems we will miss the opportunities we have to advance the Kingdom of God.

In this week's message (online only) we'll be talking about grace & hope. Grace and hope are things that should separate followers of Jesus from the rest of the world. Our lives are different because we extend grace. Our outlook is different because we have hope in Christ.

In the Gospels, Jesus often spoke of bearing fruit. In order for Christ-followers to bear good fruit, the conditions must be right. We must be connected to Jesus and to the Holy Spirit.

Being compelled by Christ’s love, we can live generous lives, giving freely and abundantly to others. Our generosity fills others needs, leads to our enrichment, and ultimately glorifies God. For the sake of the gospel, we spur one another on in generosity.
