And everyone in the body is called to a role as the church lives out the gospel in community together. But as we seek to live out what accords with healthy teaching, we also need to be reminded about the effective power of the gospel. Only the Spirit of God making the gospel real in our hearts can motivate us for right living that accords with sound doctrine.

God cares deeply about the full and eternal happiness of our souls. Jesus came at Bethlehem to secure our joy in God and He will come again in glory to complete it. While we walk through many sorrows as we wait for his return, God’s Spirit is with us and enables us to rejoice even through tears.
