The New Testament tells us that Jesus is the very Word of God made flesh, who came and preached peace to us and calls us to follow Him in speaking Good News to others.

Jesus certainly spoke about the Bible as being from God, fully true, and absolutely authoritative. It was God’s eternal will to speak definitively to us in Holy Scripture and His purposes can never be thwarted. "Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away.” (Mark 13:31)

Jamey Nettles | The Gospel of Mark begins and ends with God sending messengers to declare amazing news about Jesus. He began with Isaiah’s announcement that God would one day send a messenger to declare that King Jesus was arriving. Here he ends with an angel’s announcement that God was sending new messengers to declare that King Jesus was risen! The resurrection of Jesus is incomparably good news for us and for the whole world! How will we respond?
