In this moment God recommissions Noah and his descendants to be fruitful and fill the earth, echoing the first command in the Garden of Eden. This narrative ends with God forming his covenant with Noah and all creation to never destroy the earth by flood again. Joey Thompson | In Genesis 7 we will read the familiar account of the flood. As common as the story may be to many, it reminds us that God never looks at sin in a causal way. The wrath of God is on full display as the rains fell and the world was covered in water. As we journey though the story of Genesis, we continue to see the glimmer of hope, as a remnant is preserved even in the midst of destruction.
