There has been a lot of focus in our culture on the environment - and for good reason. We should care about our world. But the message from Genesis 1:26-31 takes us into the finer details like, "How do we think about our pets?" and so much more.
These issues matter to God, so they matter to us as well.

We were all designed to worship. What do you worship? How much is your worship worth? Luke and Mark share a story of a young women determined to break all cultural protocols. She comes to Jesus not caring about her condition or bad reputation and gives it all to him. We live in a world were we are so caught up in ourselves worshiping many things like a job, a person, or even an addiction but God wants it all. Even if we think that we are not worthy.

The story we tell about ourselves shows our identity. How do you think of yourself? As a saint or a sinner?

Since we are made in the image of God it has major significance for how we treat others and how we are to be in relationship with one another. This week's message on being made in His image once again brings relevance to the world we all live in.

It is possible to worship the creation instead of the Creator, we all do it in fact in various ways. But Genesis 1 lays out for us the starting blocks for walking with God. If we miss this, we miss it all, and we are left to our own devices. But if God IS the Creator, that gives us all the meaning and purpose in life we need.

God's handiwork is everywhere around us, and we don't want to miss it. God really is faithful, compassionate and gracious to us - we want to get to know Him more and more.
