The saying: “I found Jesus”, isn't really doctrinal. The Bible say's that no one comes to the Son unless the Father draws him. You were dead in your sin, not desiring God, and God came along and placed within you the desire to know Him. Just as Jesus sought after the blind man, He too sought after you.

Whether it's due to our fallen state in general, a lack of faith or otherwise, we as believers have to remind ourselves often how faithful God is. Perhaps one of the greatest examples of God's faithfulness is none other than the nativity scene we're all so familiar with. As Pastor Terry will discuss in his teaching today, the birth of Jesus is one of many of God's fulfilled promises. In his study, you'll be reminded that despite how many times Satan tried to thwart God's plan, He still came through with the promise of His Son.

Many believers are quick to agree that the woman spoken of in Revelation with the garland of twelve stars is the Virgin Mary. However, the problem we face with such an interpretation, is that the Bible describes the Church as the Bride of Christ, rather than the child of Christ. In today's message, Pastor Terry reflects on what he considers to be an alternative nativity scene in Scripture. In his study, you'll learn how both the baby in the manger and the vision of John both allude to the nativity scene we're all too familiar with.

There’s pain and disfunction… broken relationships everywhere you look. Jesus made His way into this world to save sinners like us. Although family traditions and gift-giving is special, the true meaning is found in what Jesus did on the cross. He entered this world out of love and humility. What a gift Jesus is to this broken world.

When Jesus was questioned as to why someone was born blind, Jesus responded by saying it wasn't because the man sinned or because his parents had sinned. Today, Pastor Terry will be explaining that it's not necessarily the consequences of your own sin that cause bad things to happen in your life, it can simply be because you live in a fallen sinful world. Humanity is plagued with disease and defects because of sin as a whole, not because you sinned and God is punishing you with some sort of defect.

As Pastor Terry continues his teaching series through the Gospel of John, he'll be explaining how Jesus claimed to be the Messiah. While the Pharisees and Sadducee's interrogated Jesus, trying to trick him and falsely accuse Him, Jesus responded by saying He was there to see Abraham smile. When the Pharisees asked Jesus how he could have seen Abraham, He said to them: “I tell you the truth, before Abraham was, I AM”. This was Jesus claiming to be God in the flesh, the great I Am!

This is what man made religions tend to do, it gets you to conform to man made rituals and concepts, instead of seeking after the truth of God.
