When Joseph was seventeen, he received his famous coat of many colors from his doting father, Israel. Even though Joseph was the younger brother, the coat signified leadership and responsibility over everything his father owned. In today’s message, Pastor Terry teaches us that Joseph was given such an honor because he had earned it through his wise behavior and integrity. Pastor Terry encourages those who may be living under less than ideal circumstances to never use those circumstances as a reason to make poor choices. Like Joseph, through God’s power, we can rise above.

In Revelation chapter 4, John the Revelator writes about a vision of the heavenly throne where Jesus has sovereign rule over all creation. John tries to use inadequate words to describe the indescribable majesty of God’s throne. In today’s message, Pastor Terry points out that the twelve elders surrounding the throne wear crowns. These elders represent the redeemed sons and daughters of God. Only a gracious God like Jesus could save sinners from their sins and then raise them up to wear white robes of righteousness and crowns on their heads.

After the Lord Jesus was crucified and three days later resurrected, Thomas refused to believe the story that Christ has risen as others reported it. In fact, Thomas said in so many words, “God has to prove it Himself!” In today’s message form the book of John, Pastor Terry teaches us about Jesus’s gentle and patient character by examining Christ’s response to Thomas’s doubt. Instead of lecturing or condemning, Jesus showed up to allow Thomas to witness His resurrection in person. Thomas was so forever changed by the risen Lord that he went on to serve God faithfully for the rest of his life.

Perhaps we have all heard Jesus’s disciple, Thomas, called “doubting Thomas”. He was the man that refused to believe that Christ had risen until he laid physical eyes upon His Lord. In today’s message, Pastor Terry helps us see Thomas in a more sympathetic light. Scripture reveals that Thomas was loyal to Jesus even unto death. Thomas truly loved the Lord with all that he had, and so when Jesus was tortured and crucified, it wrecked Thomas’s faith. However, the Lord did not leave Thomas in that shattered place. In fact, God used Thomas’s life as an object lesson for us all to trust God even in the darkest bleakest places and seasons.

As the disciples gathered together to grieve and hide from the authorities when Christ was crucified, many questions must have been rumbling around in their minds. First and foremost, they must have wondered if God could still use them and if God still loved them after so many mistakes had been made. In today’s message, Pastor Terry reminds us that our Jesus is gentle. He does not condemn us when we come to Him with our needs. Instead, He offers His forgiveness, love, and peace. Pastor Terry encourages those that are in need of reviving to not hide away from the Lord, but to seek Him out. For when we seek the Lord, He will meet with us and provide for our every need.

In today’s message, Pastor Terry begins a new and dynamic sermon series focusing on the life of Joseph. We will learn that Joseph was born into a family full of strife and drama. Joseph’s 10 elder brothers were jealous of him from the start because Joseph enjoyed his father’s favor. It is in these circumstances that God begins a good work in Joseph’s life. Throughout the turmoil and trial of Joseph’s youth, he found favor with the Lord. This favor would follow Joseph his entire life because Joseph’s faith never faltered or failed.

As Jesus was being crucified, His followers fled in fear. Three days later, these men huddled together in a room and hid fear from the Jewish authorities. Peter had betrayed Christ, most of the rest had abandoned Him, and worst of all they thought that Jesus was gone forever. The only Person that could help to revive them was God Himself. In today’s message, Pastor Terry teaches us that when the risen Christ finally revealed Himself to His disciples, the first thing He did was to bring peace to revive their ravaged souls. We too can find peace in the darkest of circumstances if we go to the Author of Peace for comfort and restoration.

Satan loves to create contention and strife within the family of God. We know that the enemy is at work when cliques form, churches split, and even whole societies become litigious. In today’s message, Pastor Terry encourages us to love each other in unity. Just as parents feel joy when their children get along, Papa God is pleased when His people love each other and put others first. Furthermore, when we stop fighting each other, we have more energy to focus on fighting the real enemy who works tirelessly to steal, kill, and destroy.
