In today's message, Pastor Mark will share with us that PRAYER isn't a magic wand. We can't approach God like a genie in a lamp. Our prayer time is so much more than spouting off what we THINK we need. You see, our Heavenly Father, the One that ANSWERS our prayers, is POWERFUL. There's nothing He cannot do. However, He's only going to give to us...according to what we truly NEED. The truth is that He knows us better than we know ourselves. And it's with that understanding, that He answers our prayers.

Have you ever stared out into space...or looked out over the vast ocean? Doing so often gives us a glimpse at how small WE are. But then think about our Creator...and how powerful HE is. He is the only one who has no beginning and no end. He is mighty...and the maker of ALL things. He spoke the earth into existence. He breathed life into you and I. There's nothing that He cannot do. Well in today's message, Pastor Terry will remind us that when we approach God, we need to remember these things...and do so with reverence.

When you hear truth...when you're given revelation...what do you do with it? Do you disregard it...ignore it...set it aside? Or do you reject it completely? Doing so, will eventually lead to a hard heart. As believers, when we're presented with truth, we're to study it, receive it, and apply it to our lives. When we do THAT...we'll GROW in our walk with the Father. And as we'll hear in today's message, Pastor Terry will encourage us to remain pliable. To have humble hearts that are WILLING to receive the truth of God's Word.

As believers, we must understand who it is that we represent. You see, when we're out among the world, we leave an impression. And the impression we should be leaving with those around us, is one that would glorify our Father in Heaven. Pastor Terry will remind us that we're to be people who are known for doing what is right. People that are consistently proclaiming and LIVING the truth. Now sure, as humans we ALL mess up from time to time. But what's important, is our desire to get back up and continue doing what is right.

In today's message, we will see how God moved in the life of Joseph. Even during his early years...the Father was at work. He had a plan for Joseph's life. And even though Joseph experienced opposition, God was able to USE it for HIS glory. Can you say the same for YOUR trials, believer? Do you allow God to move in both the good times and the bad? Do you believe that He will work ALL things together for good...for those who love Him and are the called according to HIS purpose? Are you willing to be used...for HIS glory?

Have you ever looked at a globe or a world map? Have you ever looked for the nation of Israel? Well if you don't know exactly what you're looking for...you might miss it. You see, Israel is situated in the middle east. It's an extremely small strip of land. And as we'll learn from Pastor Terry...it's the center of a lot of commotion. And that's not just speaking about TODAY. For years and YEARS, Israel has been the talk. But why? How is it that such a small piece of proper could stir up the whole world?

If you read the newspaper, watch the evening news, or surf the web...chances are that you'll see SOME NEWS regarding the land of Israel. There are protests, violence, suicide bombers, and threats of war. But this isn't something new. It's been going on for many, many years. It seems as though the tension in the middle east will NEVER be broken. And even after many attempts and failed peace-talks...there's STILL unrest. But when will there be peace? When will all this turmoil FINALLY come to an end?

In today's message, we'll discuss the FIRST coming of Jesus. What was His goal? What was His purpose? And how does all this affect US? Well, first and foremost, we know that God sent His only Son, so that we might have a way to be forgiven. It's by His shed blood that we can be cleansed and set FREE from the bondage of sin and death. Secondly, we need to understand that Jesus came to point people to the truth...to the WORD of His Father. Our Messiah came to live as an example for all who would believe. He walked in obedience to His Father.

There's no doubt that God LOVES us. The Scriptures teach us that He loved us SO MUCH...that He sent His own Son as the ultimate sacrifice for our sin. You see, our Creator is merciful and kind. It's His desire that ALL would come to Him with a heart of repentance... ready to follow His ways! And we ALL have that choice. You see, each and every one of us has been given a freewill. We can decide whether or not we want to follow Him. But don't wait! Choose THIS day whom you will serve! Because NONE of us know what day will be our last.

As Christians, we all know that prayer is important. But do we REALLY? Do we take prayer SERIOUSLY? Are we setting aside TIME to spend in prayer with our Heavenly Father? Sadly, most of us today are too busy to slow down and pray. We get so side-tracked by our busy lives, that we forget that we have a God that LONGS to talk to us. He wants us to come to Him with our burdens. He wants us to confess our sins. It's His desire that we sit and listen for HIS voice. Believer, don't get so caught up in your OWN plans for life, that you forget to seek GOD through prayer.
