This prophetic word from David speaks to the momentous cost that God would pay in Jesus. This was His only begotten Son. We are God’s dearly loved children in the sense that we are His redeemed Creation, but Jesus was a part of God from before time existed. He was not created; He existed as the same being with His Father. As Pastor Holland will point out in today’s message, to send Jesus in the humble form of a human and then allow the suffering He endured was a cost we can’t fathom.
