* The Preparation (2:17–20)

* The Plan (2:5–8)
* The Opposition (2:9–10)

##Six Responses
1. Ask after the welfare of others
2. Grieve over sin
3. Confess and remember
4. Tell the truth
5. Make a plan
6. Be ready for attack

Our church elders lead us in a prayer service, and help us reflect and remember on the core values of Calvary Bible Church: Dependence, Surrender, Christ-Center Teaching, Gospel-Shaped Community, and Inter-Generational Ministry.

No matter the response, we must continue to share our great hope.

##OUTLINE
* Go all the way (vs. 17-22)
* Tell the hard truth (vs. 23-28)
* Welcome all who come (vs. 29-30)
* The 4 C’s
- Compelling
- Comprehensive
- Courageous
- Consistent

We are in our safest place when we persevere in Christ.

* The Climate (vs. 27:4-12)
* The Collision (vs. 27:13-44)

After attempting to make a defense of his faith to the Jewish leaders, Paul now defends The Way to two Roman governors and Herod Agrippa II.

##Defending the Faith
* Before Felix (Ch. 24)
* Before Festus (Ch. 25:1–22)
* Before Agrippa (Ch. 25:23–26:32)

Our plans are a reflection of our values and our values should be a reflection of our Lord. In this portion of Scripture, we will observe a slew of plans playing out by regular people like us. What will their plans say about them? What do our plans say about us?

##BEST LAID PLANS...

* Safe travels and a clear warning (vs. 21:1-15)
* Love over liberty (vs. 21:17-26)
* Riot and rescue (vs. 21:27-36)
* Paul’s testimony and a bridge too far (vs. 21:37-22:21)
* Confusion, chaos, and citizenship (vs. 22:22-29)
* Before the Sanhedrin (vs. 22:30-23:11)
* Conspiracy to commit murder and a surprising savior (vs. 23:12-22)
* Jerusalem to Caesarea by night (vs. 23:23-35)

##The Great Provision

* Heavenly authority (vs. 1-10)
* Earthly “authority” (vs 11-15)
* Our authority (vs 16-20

In Acts 20, we see a beautiful example that we can follow of the heart of gospel ministry in the Apostle Paul .

##The Heart of Gospel Ministry
* Given fully to Christ (vs 17–27)
* To serve and protect (vs 27–38)
* Upheld by grace (vs 32)
